Notgeld was emergency currency issued by the Weimar Republic In the face of hyperinflation, starting in 1923. It was worth precious damn little then (stories of 14 million Marks for a loaf of bread and 30 million for firewood, etc). It has a little collectible value due to age, some rare variants and super high denominations can bring decent money. Most of it is super cheap though. This 5 million is super common Federal issue.
