Default Koufax Rookie

Hi vintage, I'm starting to look at vintage cards to collect and I have my eye on Sandy Koufax rookies. My question is, how have prices changed over the last 10-20 years? Thanks!

I think a Koufax RC is much more affordable now then it was 10-20 years ago. It was hard to find cards like this before ebay, now depending on the condition you are looking for I would guess you could possibly get a decent one for between $100-$200.

I think that depends largely on what you'd consider "decent"

for $100-$200 you could probably find one in a PSA 1 or maybe a PSA 2 on a good day. in my book a "decent" one would be more like a PSA 5 and a "nice" one would be around a PSA 7. A 5 would run you in the neighborhood of $400 (which still isn't bad), a 6 in the $550 to $650 range and then you'll see a pretty big jump between a 6 and a 7. 7's will run you $1000+

I'm guessing PSA 7 is where there will be less saturation as time pass?

Look for low grade, high eye appeal. I found this 2 for under $150. Has a crease across the middle, but otherwise looks nice.

Paid under well below 1k for this a long time ago. It has appreciated rapidly in the past couple of years.

I bought a psa 5 for 300 three years ago and now I believe they go for around 500 or so.

There are 2 psa 6.5 on evilbay with best offer. Can anyone suggest a good price to offer? Or maybe suggest another one in the same range? I'm new to vintage, thanks.

If the Best Offer is reasonable, offer 60% as an opener and settle at 80%.

Default Koufax RC

Koufax RC's have really gone up in value over the last few years. If you did not get one of the 6.5's that ended, you should check out joes vintage sportscards - he has auctions every week and sometimes he has Koufax RC's.

I bought one not long ago, it's an SGC but very well centered. This is my only serious PC item and hope to keep it there for a very long time!

100% agree....

High end key cards/ rc cards

Are getting harder to find....

Value will only go up over the years...

When there are only 5-6 psa 7 Koufax rcs on ebay it says a lot... IMO

Someday there will be zero....

Supply demand thing

I bought a Koufax RC PSA 3 in 2006 on Ebay for $179. I don't think you can find one for less than $250 now. Wish I didn't sell it a couple years ago.
