Default POP Watch

I was at Walgreens yesterday and noticed they had an exclusive Punisher Funko Pop figure on the shelf. I didn't have any spare cash on me, but had I, I would have picked one up. Thought you guys might like to know about it.

I think I'm gonna try and buy/sell pop figures to fund my comic expenses.

If you go to SDCC and Fundays, that is very possible I caught a $300 prototype at the party

I did well with the Barnes and Noble and Hot Topic exclusives from last Thursday. I ended up with 3 of the Blue Crystal Meth Heisenberg from Hot Topic and from Barnes and Noble I sold 2 each of the Cap without Helmet and Snuffleupagus. I wound up returning the Blackout Ant-Man, Joy from Inside Out and one of the Star Wars POPs because after fees and all that it wasn't worth it.

The black out Ant-Man has potential. It was pretty sought after. Just does not have the value right now. I am looking for the unmasked Cap myself.

Bought my daughter some frozen funkos a few months back and now find myself wanting to collect them..there's just something about them..I guess its the collector mentality. Besides girly princess stuff she likes the superhero stuff also so I ordered her a pink batman for her birthday this week and I'll be ordering myself a few as well..need some manly toys ..I get the feeling there will be boxes of these things in my house by the end of the year I just can't believe the prices on some of them so that right there dampers my need to collect them all..no way would I pay over $15-20 for one..too rich for my blood.

I know how you feel. I first started off with Mighty Muggs and have close to 100. Then these Funk Pops came along and been hooked on them ever since.

I have about 40-50 myself. Trying to just stick to Marvel/DC movie and TV related PoPs, with the occasional single like a Katniss, if it ever comes out, the Anna Kendrick Pitch Perfect PoP and maybe some Marvel ladies

I have been buy/sell/trading now for about 2 years.
A lot of the ones that came out in that time frame sell for great money now.
Lately the market is flooded and is really starting to become more buyer friendly.
If you are starting to sell be careful though as the majority of the people who collect are pretty particular. They want each one bubble wrapped, expect "mint" boxes, etc..

Funko has really done a great job with licenses and variety, the problem though is now so many retailers and vendors carry them that the market has become flooded. Plus most exclusives you can get overseas which really do not make them "exclusives"
The DC line up is probably the best they have

indy, IMO/ from experience, older marvel universe and legends action figures resell for lots more profit than POP figures, you just gotta look in the right places.

With some PoPs selling in the thousands and a TON selling for hundreds, I would say that either can be pretty profitable But, with any collectible, it is all about supply and demand.

Not sure if this has been mentioned. Noticed some sdcc exclusives have the black sticker and some have the white sticker. I was lucky to grab an unmasked flash exclusive from con this year, but it had a black sticker. I thought the black sticker meant it was sold at hot topic or barnes and noble as part of that con deal they had this year.
