Default Once upon a time season 2 trading cards

Does anyone know if cryptozoic is releasing any more once upon a time sets? Or was their season 1 set the only one?

I dont think theres been any word, but they have alot of sets in the works right now. I think george said 15-19. So it may happen. With the small run i think it was pretty successful. Would be nice to see another set.

I read somewhere that they don't have the license to make any more. Someone from Cryptozoic made that statement.

Everyone has conspiracy theories, here's mine -
I think Cryptozoic is just plain phasing out trading card sets. Their focus is obviously on gaming cards and board games at this point. I mean, they've slowed their production schedule to a crawl with no real effort to relay new information, no one's updating the webpages or putting much effort into advertising and previews, no new acquisitions mentioned at SDCC - in fact, the only trading card mention at all was an aside in the Ghostbusters panel. Now they're letting licenses lapse and I'm pretty sure that George's (hi, George!) main responsibilities now lie in Kickstarter and gaming. I just kinda think my favorite company to work for is cutting ties and moving on and I've been thinking that for quite a while.

I thought George said their were 15-19 sets in motion. I think their method of information has changed though given he is tweeting more updates. I definitely think they are less forthcoming with new information just because appears they've burned burned in the last year a few times plus I don't think they were ever that great with updating their website with new information on cardsets to begin with.

That's exactly what I was thinking recently. They haven't released a set in 4 months and have quite a number of them backed up supposedly in the works. That seems very strange to me. It got me wondering if they were planning on getting out of the trading card business.

Sad to here there won't be another OUAT set.

I too have thought for a little while now their focus is going towards gaming.

Which would be a real shame, and would cripple the hobby pretty badly. I like Rittenhouse but having them be the only major player would be terrible for card collectors, especially since they really like to appeal to high end collectors with a lot of their sets (Star Trek for example has become aimed at people who buy a lot of product, with all of the parallel sets and all of the autographs of people worth having being so hard to pull).

Topps is basically just Star Wars these days, Upper Deck is trying to branch out but their boxes are too expensive and the way they restrict online sales would limit a lot of people, and Breygent puts out nice sets but they are not exactly timely (when did Dexter end? Season sets are still coming out, so imagine if they were the ones doing Arrow). I wish Inkworks was still around, I loved those guys
