I stopped by Walmart cause a buddy told me they had Civil War Pks. The one I stopped at only had 4 packs so just got all of them. $5 is a little pricey but did really good.

Umm... not really. Odds should have put him at 1 or less. But it's print run odds, so it's possible to have a bunch. I think someone said 1 in 6 odds as well tho.

So I'm to blame that Walmart only had 4 packs?? Anyone ever been to the Martinsburgs WV Walmart? A)it's one of the shadiest I've been to and B)they do a very limited restock. Think they only had 2 Bowman baseball 3 Pks. Theft is really bad there. Shocked they have cards period. But in the future I'll take a picture of the rack before and after I buy cards to humor the clown saying I searched them. Oh Walmart might have video of me checking out too. Give them a call I'm sure they'll pull the tape for you. 5:30 pm this past Saturday guy

Lol. Even if you did search them, not sure anyone can blame you with as easily noticeable they seem to be. They are loose rack packs. Seems a bit different than searching an entire hobby box at a store.

Does anyone ever buy retail without searching them??? LOL that's why people don't buy packs at hobby shops anymore, they aren't allowed to make love to the packs.

No. I understand. I meant you needed the emoticon in your original post. There was no way to tell that was sarcasm. I can't hear the tone of your voice. So I thought you sucked at math. It didn't sound like a joke. I guess you are a bad joke teller, not bad at math.

how can you not tell it was sarcasm when it makes absolutely no sense mathematically? and the phrase "sounds about right" used in that context implies sarcasm.

damn did i really have to break it down explain it to this guy?

you sir have ruined my night. im goin to retire from the internet because of you.

Your grammar and sentence structure was awful, assuming you didn't know math wasn't a huge leap.

OP must have some crappy pack searchers in his area, I bought the remaining 7 at my local wal mart and got zilch.

I don't see how these packs could be searched without leaving, at the very lease, stress marks on the cardboard where you jammed a finger in. I picked up 14 packs. None of them had any sign of having been searched. Pulled just 2 relics. I think it is more of a collation issue with how the packs were distributed than anything else.

I'm guessing scales.

I'm guessing scales.

I'm always surprised when I hear about somebody having the audacity to bring a scale to the store for pack searching. I've witnessed "rubbers" but never that. They seriously should keep these things behind glass

So I'm wondering if these Walmart packs are considered 'retail'? Seems like they have similar odds as hobby packs.

Yes.

Those are the only packs in retail stores.

Years ago before I collected I worked with a guy that did this. He would drive around to every small town that sold cards and would either flex test, fingernail the pack or use his scale if the packs had dummy blanks in them.

I figured these packs were pretty search-proof, but I'm guessing people can either flex test them or weigh them still.

Spider-Fan

You can weigh them. I didn't try, but I'm sure you can do it if your scale is accurate enough. I don't think you can flex them without leaving stress marks in the cardboard though. Of course you can flex them, I just think it will leave signs that it has been done.

I weighed some at home just to see if there was a difference, and there wasn't.
