Did anyone catch this last night? I planned on watching it but had to tune in to UFC to see if Cleveland-native Stipe Miocic could bring home the gold. How ironic that he did only a few hours after Believeland aired?

The special itself was amazing. I hope it shows the world that the fans here are truly among the best. I thought it portrayed the city and the people in a good, positive light.

Worst part, David Modell (Art Modell's son) saying, "The real reality of Cleveland being without their football team, the Cleveland Browns, was a scant four or five months, and then the waiting period for the stadium to be built." David Modell says. "So in reality, the Cleveland Browns never moved. It paused for a period of time."

I enjoyed it.. interesting how they try and assimilate the economy to sports winning. Earnest Byners interview was great. David Modell is a tool.

Totally agree. Absolutely loved the documentary, seriously started tearing up during a couple of the clips

That being said, I think it was very well done and didn't paint a negative picture of Cleveland like I thought it would.

Watch ESPN has it available. so if your internet or cable provider gives access to ESPN 3, you can watch it (that's what i'm doing).

growing up in cleveland (1983 when i was born until 2002 when i left for college in Cincinnati), it hurt reliving the heartache through this doc. I think the nail in the coffin for my Cleveland fandom can be summarized in 3 ways:

1- Indians loss to Miami in the WS, and then the subsequent departures of Manny Ramirez and Jim Thome (two of my favorite guys to watch growing up).

2- Browns moving. This is the big one. I tried to give the new team a chance when they came back, but it wasn't the same. Living in Cincinnati after 3 years of the expansion, I swapped allegiances after that (my stepdad was a big Cincinnati fan anyway so I was always aware of those teams growing up).

3- Cavs stayed in my heart the longest. Partially because Cincinnati doesn't have a basketball team, but my only other team I rooted for was the Mavs and they weren't all that great at the time. I'll always have a soft spot for Mark Price, Terrell Brandon, Larry Nance, Brad Dougherty, Craig Ehlo, and Hot Rod Williams (and his hot sauce aptly named Hot Sauce Williams). But honestly, the Lebron Decision thing really irked me. The fact that he did the entire city dirty like that on national tv, and then how the fans immediately forgave him when he came back... no thanks, bro. You're a scumbag that won't ever be the greatest ever to me because you had to run to another team to be a winner.

watching this thing really dredged up some bad memories if you can't tell, haha. I still to this day hope the Cleveland teams are good (because i'm not a vindictive person).

I only caught the back end of it. Thought it was good. There is a lot of common threads among Cleveland and Detroit and the fans...

Midwest, Blue Collar, tradition of losing (Browns/Lions in particular), loyalty, etc.. Not to mention the whole Ohio State/UM thing. (even though both of those fan bases suck. ;) )

I lived just outside of Cleveland until I was 26. Watched all the loses to the Broncos, the Shot, Indians losing in1997, Browns being moved. Ive seen Lebron play numerous times even here in Denver. Had he stayed they would have one at least one Championship.

It's a hard luck city. It's dirty, unsafe and at times it seems like no one is downtown after 4pm. Someone will win a Championship soon.

I thought the documentary was too kind to Art Modell. How he went about that move and what he did to the City and it's fans was abhorrent. The documentary tried to gloss this over with David Modell making the statements he did. Go ahead and defend your father's tarnished legacy David, Browns fans already know what a sneaky underhanded pile of crap your father is. My only hope in all this is that Art Modell will never see the HOF.

Slept about 4 hours last night, been kind of pacing, trying to find things to do all day to keep my mind off the game tonight. Nervous wreck. I was ectactic when the Cavs won. But in MY OPINION. The sports hierarchy in Cleveland is Browns #1, Indians #2, and Cavs #3.

If the lonely Cleveland Indians win tonight I will probably cry like a little baby for days.

For the record. If the Browns ever won the super bowl. I think the city would burn a fiery death in pure joy.

Yeah, Cavs winning was fun, but there's still some emptiness. Browns could win one day. They'll have to wait for New England, Pittsburgh and any other team to start sucking. Browns can't go anywhere but up.

Tonight seemed to good to be true. We had to go through seven games for the Cavs. Cubs want it just as bad. Probably be another Game 7. That's fine, we complain when they suck, we should be happy that they are even competing!

Sitting here, enjoying a few IPAs and game 7 of the NBA Finals is being replayed on NBATV. Undoubtedly this was the best year for Cleveland sports. I'm still angry about the World Series, but it was fun and the Tribe looks better already.

I tried watching Cavs vs Warriors on Xmas but kept getting sidetracked. It couldn't have ended any better. Can't see the Cavs not making the Finals again. Have tickets to see them in Denver in March and can't wait to see all the Cavs fans.

Browns? If you watched the locker room videos from last week's win, this team has pride. It will take a few years, but I'll still stand behind them.

That goes with nearly all cities though. The last time a city has had two sports franchises with a championship the same year was 2009 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. Before that was 2004 with the Boston Red Sox andNew England Patriots, before that you have to go back to 1988 with the Dodgers and Lakers
