I feel so bad for this young man. It's his fault all this happened. A young kid living in the media, the media never once told him this isn't healthy and this will end him. They just made there money. Hope the best for the kid

Personally, I hope he is left alone. I have no ill will towards him, clearly football is not his passion, and that's okay. I feel sad the the people who hate him because he gave up something they love and he does not, who cares. I just hope he really isn't an addict and if he is, that he finds whatever pot of gold that he's seeking in his journey over the rainbow.

He comes from a family of wealth. I believe he was brought up as a spoiled rich brat and hasn't learned that he can't always get his way. His NFL money is gravy on top of what his family already provides for him.

Considering it's a hobby, I will buy one or two cards of him in a TAMU uniform, he was one of the most exciting college players ever.

I think people dislike him not so much because of what he's wasted but because he comes off as such a loser douchebag. Sure, he's a victim of the fame/money, but that doesn't make me feel bad. Some people can handle it, some can't. But it's his attitude. Been that way for a long time. No surprise many organizations passed on him for character issues. Anyway, the kid is a goner. He looks like he's wasted away on drugs or something based on the latest pictures of him, unless they were doctored, but I don't think they were.

That's a good point. He was a standout athlete on top of his upbringing. Entitlement syndrome times 10.

I live in San Antonio, and I met a couple people that went to high school with Johnny, they all said he was a rich spoiled brat. The media just needs to move on already, nothing is going to change with him and this kind of "news" is getting ridiculously old ...:coffee:

Ugh, it's the media's responsibility to tell him how to live his life? Never mind he has countless players, coaches, family, friends, and other try to straighten him out. Those don't count, it was up to the media? I'm sorry but he was given every chance to succeed and the only person who screwed up was Johnny Manziel. I have a hard time feeling bad for someone like him who wasted his biggest opportunity in life over and over again. Whatever happens, is going to happen. I just hope he doesn't bring someone down with him.

Well, there's my LOL for the day.
This chump has been a whiney spoiled rich brat straight out the womb. He lacks character and a willingness to take responsibility for his own actions. The media are parasites but they didn't create Johnny Drama. He did that himself.

I saw some pics of him and he looks like he is on crack or something. Dude is scrawny and would get killed on the field at this point in his life.

The guy is digging his own grave. Literally.
I'll be surprised if he is alive by this time next year.
There will be a big time movie or documentary about him in time.

And with that I am starting to feel sorry for the media! The media is NOT the issue. The media has no moral responsibility to tell someone how to live. YES our media is screwed up, but NO they will not make decisions for us.

Could be, he prob has larger aspirations, and better chances, at becoming more of a reality star/persona than a starting QB

Dude was a beast in college. But he just couldn't handle the fame and the pressures and responsibilities that come with being a QB in the NFL. What's more to add? I hope he sorts himself out, but something tells me he won't figure it out until it's too late.

The media was supposed to tell him not to hit people? I thought that's what preschool and kindergarden are for.

My thoughts exactly!
I enjoyed watching him play at TAMU but I'm betting they covered a ton of this crap up during his college days to keep him on the field. Some players are poor all their lives and BOOM! Instant millionaires and they go nuts making horrible decisions (still no excuse). But this isn't the case with Manziel. He's always had $$$ and has most likely always been this way.
If he doesn't get himself checked into rehab, I doubt he lives past 30.
I was talking to a guy just this weekend. His son had addiction problems and had been in jail. Less than a month after he got out of jail, he OD'd and died. He was only 32. That is the path that Johnny is going down. You can tell just by how skinny he is.

Doesn't look sickly skinny to me.
Just looks like a typical p90x before and after photo reversed style. That's what happens when you aren't downing 5,000 calories a day and crushing heavy weights 5 times a week.
But he probably is flirting with that China white. Doesn't look good on Von for being his offseason mentor or roomate, especially when he's at the same spots clubbing where the issues are taking place. IMO Von is letting the whole Hollywood thing get to his head. We'll see if he can keep it straight on the field come season time.

His cards are novelties, especially those he autographs with the "Money Manziel" inscription or is photographed with his arrogant finger rubbing money sign... he's the poster child for the millennial douche bag generation, and for that his trading cards are pure comedy... laughing at him, not with him...

The American prison system is a poor man's game. Until he taps out, it's party on brahhh.
That lifestyle wears thin quickly. It isn't a great plan for sustainable, long-term happiness in life.
I'm not judging him at all. My choice to drink cost me a college baseball career. Looking back 10 years later, I feel a ton of regret.
Manziel was an NFL starter, far surpassing anything I would have accomplished. When he gets to be my age, he's gonna have a bunch of regrets and bad memories waiting.
