Musical accompaniment (not exactly the same as his nickname, but whatever, it's a good song and it's close, so shut up and enjoy):

Some notes:
The index card is virtually spotless, with no rips/tears/stains of note. Pretty amazing, given that this piece of paper is nearly 100 years old.
Per James Spence, he of greasy Pawn Stars fame, this is a 1920s era signature from his playing days as a Yankee. Spence also noted that this is one of the cleanest Ruth signatures he's ever seen. These anecdotes comes from the previous owner, as Spence called him directly to give him some background on the cut after it was reviewed. The guy was initially freaking out when he first heard the JS voicemail, as he thought it was to report the worst case scenario. I, too, would have nearly s*** my pants in fear, only to s*** my pants 30 seconds later in delight. I have....many, many problems.
The signature is in black ink and comes from a steel-tip fountain pen. It is certified by both PSA/DNA and JSA.
I've very much enjoyed this piece of history, but it's time to get back in my lane and see what kind of higher end hoops may be available. Trade value is anywhere between 11 - 12K, depending on what's involved. Priority will be given to UD NBA MJ/LBJ/Kobe autos, as well as any rare Timmy Duncan, old school Exquisite, or anything else that catches my eye. I'll consider any and all deals, but the more cards coming my way, the more value necessary. Same old, same old. Post or PM with interest or questions. Happy to grab more pics as well. Thanks for looking.
