Seeing the Mets take on the Brew Crew this weekend with some buddies.
1) What food item(s) do I need to try in the stadium?
2) What fast food places are there that don't exist in the northeast?
3) Any other spots to check out in the city? (cool bars, card shops, etc...)
Thanks in advance!

I stay away from Milwaukee as much as possible, lol.
Bars - heard The Safehouse is supposed to be cool
Food - if you like Italian, try Authentic Italian Restaurants and Food | Milwaukee WI | Buca di Beppo (http://www.bucadibeppo.com/restaurants/wi/milwaukee/)
Other things - Harley Davidson museum, anything going on at the Summerfest grounds, Miller Brewery tour (free samples!)

I've always thought that if I hit the lottery, I would love to travel the world, not only for the sights/experience, but I would love to try the best eateries available. Not fine dining, but just GOOD FOOD.
I want to compare New York pizza to Chicago's. I want to see where the best REAL BBQ is at. I want to eat authentic Italian, instead of Johnny Carinos (I love the Spicy Romano Chicken, though...)
So, hope you eat some awesome food there, and I would be 500lbs if I ever did hit the lottery.
RIP to me then.

Have fun!! Love the beer. There's an Irish pub in Milwaukee that was on Bar Rescue not too long ago. I'd check that out.

Oh, yeah, I remember that. Let me look it up...
...Packy's Pub.
There was also another episode that season from Milwaukee: The bar was called the Y-Not III.
I wonder if anyone on these boards could give us any info on their local bars that have been featured on that show. OH, or what about Restaurant Impossible? Someone want to make a thread about that?
I'm kind of lazy.

I lived in Milwaukee for four years. I'll PM you tomorrow morning.
Buca di Beppo is a chain. Don't listen to that guy above. I'll give you some restaurant suggestions.

I grew up in the barren desert. New York, and even Milwaukee, are like Mars to me.

Haha I was about to same the same.
Might as well find the local Applebees in Milwaukee if we're just going to chain spots.

Which hotel are you staying at? That's a good starting point for me.
Card shops: My favorite was sold (Price's) to new owners. Now it's Brew Town. It's in West Allis, not too far from the stadium. Skip Gunderson's, they have a reputation for selling dead boxes in the store after they've listed the case hits on their Ebay store.

Fast food: You have to have custard. Do they have Culver's in the NE? Kopp's is a good choice.
Sobelmans Pub and Grill is what has the crazy bloody mary that everyone has probably seen. It's pretty close to the stadium as well. https://www.facebook.com/sobelmans/

There are restaurants/pubs around Miller Park that have shuttle buses to the game and from the game with a simple drink or food purchase. Get a BRANDY OLD FASHIONED, it's the Wisconsin cocktail. Saz's State House Restaurant was my favorite. 5539 W State St, Milwaukee, WI 53208
Skip the Miller Brewing tour - it's over rated. Do the Lakefront Brewery instead. If you venture into Wauwatosa my two favorite restaurants were Ono Kine Grindz (Hawaiian) and IL MITO for Italian (6913 W North Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53213). Both maybe four miles from Miller Park.
Palermo's Pizza is really close to Miller Park and they have tours. I never got a chance to go but hear great things. Palermo's Pizza - Palermo's Pizza - Pizza Factory Tour (http://www.palermospizza.com/about-us/tours)
Bryant's Cocktail lounge is famous. They have no menu. You tell the bartenders what you like and they create it. Bryant?s Cocktail Lounge (http://www.bryantscocktaillounge.com/Home.html)
I can keep going if you wish. I lived there for four plus years and really enjoyed it. I have over 1,000 Yelp reviews also, a big bulk of them eating my way through MKE.

The Safehouse is pretty fun. "I'm looking for a safe house". Touristy but fun and the next door The Newsroom has awesome chalk autographs covering the walls from famous folks.

Another Fast Food: George Webb. Forgot all about them. George Webb Restaurants - serving fresh Wisconsin products daily (http://www.georgewebb.com/)

my friend and I go through the various stadiums and test their nachos (while also taking in a game). The Brewers stadium had some great nachos if I remember correctly. Plus, they have some good sausage/brat stuff.

For those that cried about Buca Di Beppo....I'm not even 100% sure that's the place. The place I remember vaguely (had been drinking prior to dinner and it was about 10 years ago) was definitely a family owned place, and an only location. I remember it having a weird name, so I guessed at Buca, but that's probably not where we ate. I'd ask my buddy if he remembers, but he's no longer with us.

No worries...I know man. I am busting back a little haha. Btw, you gave a nice list of options for the OP to check out. I'm guessing the series falls after Summerfest which is too bad.

Really good pizza joint is Pizza Man. If you're looking for something overly Wisconsin in Milwaukee, check out Clock Shadow Creamery. Fresh cheese and their cheese curds are great. If you can get in for their cheese tour (not exactly a tour as much as it is a cheese tasting... Way better lol)

Thanks everyone! The flight is tomorrow and my friends and I definitely have some spots to check out now.
Let's go Mets!
If you are at the game Friday night and get the t-shirt they are giving away, i'd be interested in a shot at it. Thanks (PM me for details)
