I'm going Sunday so that I can get Christian Okoye to sign my copy of Tecmo Super Bowl.

And if you're going to be there on Sunday and want to meet up for a minute, let me know. I had a couple of custom card ideas I was going to PM you about in the next month or so, but if we can chat in person, so much the better.

Father's Day weekend seems like poor planning.

As a dealer here, show is way smaller than usual...even for a summer TriStar show....lots more open floor space and crowd has been fairly poor

If it were nearly any other weekend I was planning on flying in for it. Shame.

Zupster is just bitter because he sold everything Friday :p

I thought today's crowd was decent. Friday was slow, slow, slow.

Definitely a smaller show, but most of the big guys are there. I barely have any inventory left. I doubt much goes on tomorrow though.

It's tough for them because the Astros have to be home and EVERY high school in the area is doing graduations there. It's almost always the first weekend in June, but I doubt it will be again because of all the graduations there.

That being said, it's a terrible weekend for sellers. You should definitely fly in though. It's a fun show.

It was the same at the San Francisco show in 2015....the show was so mediocre that I didn't even bother to go this year....

This is a shame... unbelievable he is charging that. the guy is horrible
this year. One CY Young and he's freaking, well, Cy Young.

I went yesterday. I did not see anything notable for my collections. Didn't see any Cansecos, FWIW. I wasn't looking really hard, but I do try to keep in mind certain board members fetishes. Didn't see any rare Vizquels or Galaraggas either. I didn't find the one card I went looking for, an Aaron rookie, which I hoped to at least find in middle grade. In fact, just like the last show in February, I had to work very hard to find something I was excited to buy.

Although if anyone does come across any rare Frank Thomases or Grady Sizemores, please think of me.

I went friday only. Was planning to go saturday but most of the dealers liked cardboard more than money.

Will do! And as someone else said, I didn't see anything notable of Canseco.

I really enjoyed the show and had some nice conversations. And I got Christian Okoye to sign my copy of Tecmo Super Bowl...which was awesome! He laughed the entire time.

Love the Okoye. I got a Mike Tyson't Punch Out NES game signed for a buddy at TriStar a few years go and it turned out great. Here's the Correa item I got signed this weekend. You may have seen the artists booth, he set up over by Marty. I was able to meet the artist through a mutual friend and bought this to be signed.

That Correa is beautiful! That's excellent!

Was the artist Ike Rodriguez? I had a really nice conversation with him...great artist, but an even better dude. He pulled out a few canvasses to show me that he had just finished and hadn't even mounted yet...he had a Hosmer that was unbelievable. I'm hoping to set aside the coin to try and buy the original off of him.

It was Ike. I've known about him for a long time due to our mutual friend. That friend bought one of his original Correa paintings and had it autographed. It looked so badass. He was a super nice guy. He gave me one of his 11"x17" prints (coincidentally, the same one that my buddy bought the original of) and I'll probably have it auto'd next opportunity. Hopefully Correa will be there again next show.
