Former first rounder just never seemed to find his footing with the Dodgers. Good pickup for DiPoto.

#Mariners acquire RHP Zach Lee from #Dodgers in exchange for INF Chris Taylor. The 40-man roster remains full.

The Mariners need pitching depth, so they traded with the one team that needs pitching depth just as much

I liked Taylor but he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn it seems and his sloppy play with back to back errors really screwed us in a game.

Would love for Chris Taylor to figure it out one day but his three days up this year showed he may never figure it out. Good move for the Mariners.

Au revoir Zach Lee..never understood why he wasn't given more of a look this year after winning the org MiLB pitcher POY last year. Over Bolsinger, Stripling, etc
Saying goodbye to another part of the prospect collection...this is what makes PCing a team and getting in on the ground floor with top prospects so difficult

This thread is depressing for us Mariner fans. We always trade away players that turn into good players: Adam Jones, Chris Taylor, Carlos Guillen, Brian Fuentes, Shin-Soo Choo, Rafael Soriano, George Sherrill, Jason Varitek, Derek Lowe, David Ortiz, Michael Saunders, Doug Fister, Brandon Morrow, and the list goes on.. :(

Big Papi himself. There are stories about Griffey Jr. saying greats things about him back in the day.

Ha! Nice bump on this thread...
As a Dodger fan, I didn't understand this trade when it happened especially with the injuries they had in the rotation.
What a huge steal it is now

When the trade happened, my reaction was pretty much "meh". Lee was given plenty of opportunities and just never seemed to realize his potential. Didn't even bother looking into who "we" got back for him - those minor deals almost never turn into something worthwhile. But when they do... hoo-boy!

"But, we didn't know at the time. He's a skinny kid, is it supplemented, or is it just all natural ability? You be the judge."
Was he talking about Alex Rodriguez or David Ortiz?
