I'm bored here at work. So I figured what the hell....Who is your all-time starting 5, and who is your 6th man? Please also consider chemistry. Ie- I would never put MJ and Kobe on the same team, cause I think there would be severe alpha male issues, but hey....that's just me. Anyways here is mine.....
Point Guard- Magic Johnson
Shooting Guard- Michael Jordan
Small Forward- Lebron James
Power Forward- Tim Duncan
Center- Akeem Olajuwon
6th Man- Larry Bird
I defy you to beat that!

This is my all-time team. This roster might not beat some of these other rosters, but this is the roster I like and all are among the greats at their positions:
G - John Stockton
G - Clyde Drexler
F - LeBron James
F - Tim Duncan
C - Hakeem Olajuwon
R - Kevin Garnett

I'll take this one, swap Bird and Lebron, bring Lebron off the bench because of versatility

kareem!! we are all forgeting about...
Then I like 4 all around defense/offense/assists/points/rebs
The consensus:
Magic
Lebron
Oscar
Can all play 1-4
than MJ..of course. going a little small ball.
or take any dream team should get the job done.

Considering that Curry is the greatest shooter in NBA history by a mile, and the fact he plays for the team with the best regular season record in NBA history, then it's really not that surprising/laughable, is it?
That said, I'd take Magic, Oscar and Stockton over Curry.... until he's maintained this level of play for another 5 years or so.

forgot about the 6th almost gotta go with Hondo but I need more size so lets go with Timmy "Off the Glass" Duncan or KG for his defense.

Why Malone over, say, Duncan? Or Garnett? Surely their defense would fit in better?
Great team otherwise though.
I'm not a huge Malone fan lol

It's funny cuz I couldn't choose between Duncan and Malone I could literally go with either one. Malone was just a beast, and with him and Shaq in the front court no ones getting through. I know they played a year together but that doesn't count as Malone was on the way out

No it is still and record mean $hit without th ring. But it people opinions it don't matter. Also a guy who has more turnovers then assist in the NBA finals is gunna be your all time PG really lol nice pick but whatever.

Going with a balanced team with a limited roster(6) makes more sense than simply stacking with the best players of all time at each position. Either way, I'm pretty sure if Finals results were the determining factor, Stockton would already be ranked behind Curry. For me it was a toss up between Stockton and Curry. I went with the 3 point threat and well, I'm a Warriors fan.

If I could put players wherever I wanted, I'd probably put Russell at the 4 and Wilt at the starting 5. Then, I'd probably look at Jerry West or Duncan as my 6th.

I totally understand why some people chose to put Curry and Shaq on their line ups. With both those guys, you basically have witnessed as great as it gets. Could you imagine how many open shots Curry would have? and Shaq, there was a period there, where he was like Mike Tyson was in boxing. if he was within 6 feet of the rim, automatic 2 points.

Russell will switch to forward with Kareem at center. You would have the best passing guard, forward and center of all-time.

He is Unstoppable at point... he could guard Anyone... then His Unselfishness is perfect since he is more Magic Johnson type of player than Michael Jordan.

SF - LeBron James
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Bill Russell
6th - Wilt Chamberlain

Positions aren't needed. Bird will provide some spacing. LeBron and Magic can pass lights out. MJ and Wilt will score. Sick defense.

3. Bird

You always need a shooter...and most players from the 80s and before won't have the skill set to defend from the 3 point line :)

Went with the big O to help spread the court, and PF was really a toss up between KG, Duncan, or Dirk for spacing. Went with Lebron at 6 since he's the king of versatility. Just can't do that with a Kobe or Kareem

PG Stockton

A couple of proven 1-2 punches with a couple of dominant unselfish players that can play multiple positions.

All time, the only change I'd make is replacing Olajuwon with Wilt.

Are we talking about top 5 Shaqtin a fool? LOL. JK. Anyways I will personal state, if the top 5 are in their prime there will be serious chemistry on the court. Main reason is because they're ego maniacs! Hard to win games if there is too many who will claim themselves as alphas.
