Man, how Beckett disappeared (Josh, that is, not the mag...although something similar could be said for the mag...).

Serious question, because I don't know: do non-autographed bowman rookie cards still do well in the secondary market. Or, is it autograph or nothing?

Also, technically, back in the day, could an insert card of a player in their rookie year still be offically a rookie card? Or was it just base, and everything else was XRC?

Dumb questions, I know. Thanks.

If the player doesn't have an auto'd BC RC option the non auto'd version is still their key RC or at least one of them. A few players in this category are Ichiro, Joey Votto and Cole Hamels.

Not sure if this is helpful, but non-auto RCs and FY/prospects in general did very well back then because there were a lot more people in the hobby - they may have been closer in value to an auto then they are today.

Today I think all non-autos do the same or similar whether it's a RC or a FY/prospect.
