One of the weaker rosters in years. The fact Dom Smith says it, he's awful. Want to see a guy who has a keg for a gut, he's your guy and the fact he pulled one ball in 3 rounds of BP means he's not going to hit for power ever.

As a Mets fan I had no idea he had a belly?? I did a youtube search and sure enough , not a good look for 21 year old prospect.

Have to have pull power to play in the majors. Multiple people including people from Baseball Prospectus don't think he's going to be much in the majors. He did hit a HR to center tonight, that's kinda of surprising.

The native of the Dominican Republic was named to the World team for the All-Star Futures Game on Sunday but will not participate, according to several reports.

As someone who has Mateo stashed in the minors of his Fantasy Baseball league, I fully support Mateo being frustrated at not getting promoted. The Yankees are having a crappy season and yet they still don't let the great young talent that they refused to trade away come up and play. :doh: They are so old, crappy veteran heavy that it is killing them. :mad:
