So what's up with the old school wheat penny cards?

When were they actually made? Can't seem to find a ton of info on them.. but I haven't devoured google trying to find info either..

Probably gonna snag one or two for my HOF collection just to have them... they are cheap enough and look pretty cool. Anyone else like these at all?

I do have to say I don't like the goofy looking drawings of the players.. much prefer the actual images..
