What a ridiculous free agent period. So many players changing teams!! We even so Super teams get formed. Power rankings shifts as well. But with all this changes theres always one team you just cant wait to see play. Sometimes a team sneaks up on you that u didnt even pay too much attention to. For me that team heading into the 16-17 season is the Utah Jazz! And they have only ine goal this year which is to make the playoffs. I strongly believe they will.
Which ones are your teams? ;)!

The winningest team of ALL TIME, the Golden State Warriors, of course. Now that the evil thunder regime has imploded, the West is looking the best it has looked in ages.

Minnesota is the likely league pass darling - no doubt. They'll be crazy exciting, athletic, and fun. Plus, I really don't know if I should peg them as a 50 win or 30 win team. Pendulum team for sure.
The Knicks are relevant for the first time in - well..... A long time. Hopefully we get to see them healthy, with porzingis growing up. I could see this team getting in a lot of fights with other teams. That could be fun.
The Warriors for all the obvious reasons. But also because, all the pressure in the world is on them.
The Jazz - my team. I think we're a home court playoff team. Kevin Pelton said the other day that he can see them as the two seed. I highly doubt that. But competing with the clips for third seems possibly - though likely optimistic.

T'wolves
Bucks
Warriors
76ers
Pacers

For me the T'wolves, Thunder and Celtics.
Twolves for obvious reasons, still young, Dunn already showing he's a player and the continued development of KAT, Wiggins and Lavine, while on a personal level, it'll be the final minutes of Kevin Garnett's career.
The Thunder - it'll be fascinating to see what shape they take this season. No Durant means a lot more looks for other players. If Westbrook can continue his development as a distributor he could average well over 10 apg. Also keen to see Adams really play big minutes and see what he can do.
And finally the Celtics. Lots of bit parts the last few years. They now have a player in Horford - the kind of piece that other good players will come and play with.
Bulls and Knicks will interesting too.

I will be watching:
- how the Wolves develop; and if they progress.
- the Knicks with Rose & Noah joining up with Carmelo & Porzingis [who I can see just getting better and better over the next few years].
- Spurs and whether they can challenge GSW.
I will watch some GSW to see how Durant fits into the mix; but will probably only really pay attention to them when it comes to the post-season. After their implosion this year, it really does not matter what they do in the regular season, if they do fail again when it comes the the sharp end of the season.

Of course I'll watch a lot of SA.

Spurs, obviously, but aside from them:
Wolves: I think Towns and Wiggins are going to have a great season together. Surrounded by Rubio, Pekovic, Lavine, and more... This team is really interesting to me. I'll be watching their games whenever I get the chance.
Magic: Ibaka and Biyombo in the paint. This could be deadly. Plus Gordon, Payton, Fournier and others. Interested to see where this team goes, if anywhere. But I like their roster and I think Vogel is a perfect fit.
Warriors and Thunder for obvious reasons.
Suns: Always been a big Brandon Knight fan. Hopefully Bledsoe can come back at full strength because they desperately need him. Add Len/Chandler and a developing Booker... Fun team to watch if they can put the pieces together, unlike last season.
Bulls because I think it's going to be a trainwreck.
Knicks: see "Bulls".

Don't forget Vuc with Orlando also, hopefully Ibaka or Biyombo can help him out on D.
I'm looking forward to the Knicks games also, I think they'll be good, like 4th seed good. That'd be good for basketball. Hopefully Hornacek gets the players respect, he seems like a good guy.

Yes, they have the best PG drafted in the past 4 years, in a league that's completely driven by point guard play. If you count last year as Randle's rookie season, considering he didn't play his actual rookie season, he's one of 2 rookies to average a double-double his first season in the past 5 years (the other rookie is Towns). They just drafted one of the top SFs of the past few years.
They have one of the top perimeter defenders coming off the bench in Deng. They have a 6th man of the year award winner coming off the bench as well.
I expect this team to contend for a playoff spot this year. They have so much talent.
Then you have everyone's darling pick, the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves have Towns, Rudy Gay 2.0 in Andrew Wiggins, Gerald Green 2.0 in Lavine, and next to no bench. The 6th guy coming off the bench is Shabazz Muhammad. 7th might be Kris Dunn. I'd take the Lakers first 7 over the Wolves first 7 any day of the week.

That's honestly tough. I don't think the Wolves have done one thing to get better this offseason so far and it doesn't look like they will. They didn't address their lack of depth. KAT played out of his mind last season and the finished with 29 wins. So he plays out of his mind again and they're magically better? As of right now nothing leads me to believe that this team is 10 wins better than last season, so I'd put it at 35 wins and just short of the playoffs.
The Lakers were awful last season but they've added pieces to get better so far. Also, even though he's my favorite player ever by default they'll have addition by subtraction with Kobe Bryant retiring. They upgraded the Center position, the upgraded the SF, and basically are running everyone else back without the lineup uncertainty they had last season. They got better defensively and offensively. Id put their over/under around 35 wins and wouldn't be surprised for 40. 40 wins should make the playoffs in the West this year and it should be the Lakers, Wolves, Jazz, Thunder, Rockets, Mavs all competing for the last 3 seeds.
FWIW the Lakers were 1-2 against the Twolves last season. Wolves won both games by 1 point, Lakers won their game by 4. The only reason I'm picking on the Twolves is because everyone has anointed them the next best team and I don't see it. They still lack strong PG/SG play and this league has shown recently that you need a backcourt to compete.

I'll be watching the Spurs and probably some of the Lakers.

Lots of player movement. Next season should be an exciting one. Hopefully the majority of players will stay healthy.

I think it's more people are excited to see what the Wolves will do, nobody is guaranteeing Playoffs.
Wiggins should explode this year.
Maybe they didn't add too much player wise, but they got a helluva coach in Thibs.
As for the Lakers, maybe they make a trade and get Westbrook, but other than that, I think they'll be around that 35 win mark, probably lower. Which would still be a success. They will hopefully have better direction this year compared to last.
