I've sold a bunch to relatives etc, this is one of the bigger ones to date. I love seeing family collecting cards. Who have you guys sold to?

Do players contractually sign away any dibs for their own short-print cards?

What if player X wants a copy of his own 1/1 card?
Does the company tell him no?

Just be careful with family, they'll try to get first dibs on everything you own and want to name their price after you deal with them a couple times. Had a little bit of that going on a while back.

The Google told me. It was her name and the same home town he grew up in. As he last name was a little more rare than Smith or Jones, I'm 99.9% confident.

I've sold a ton to family members before and never had an issue, but it's all on Ebay auctions, so there's no negotiating.

Yes, the card company holds all rights as per the NFLPA rules I believe.

Same here. Most recently Scott Wells bought the 2- 1/1's I had of his Pro Bowl logo cards from NT. I think it was his only GU cards. No issues, both at auction.

Yeah, to avoid this sort of issue, I suppose they would have to.

Wouldn't it be kinda interesting if there really were 2 copies of the exact same supposed 1/1 card?
One given directly to a player who requested it, and one in public circulation.
Nobody would ever know unless it leaked out years later in a bankruptcy liquidation or something.

I had Shane Ray of the Broncos buy a few low numbered Martavis Bryant rookie autographs off of me during the season last year. Got a good laugh out of it. It could have been someone else, but it was delivered to a house from his hometown, so I am assuming it was him.

Back when you could contact people on eBay without having a transaction w them, Ryan Anderson's (Little Unit, Mariners prospects) dad contacted me and said he meant to bid on a rare Ryan card I had won. He wanted it for what I paid, LMAO.
I ended up giving it to him for an auto'd ball from his son.
Then when I sent him the card, I sent a copy of a great Ichiro photo I took, knowing he collected Ichiro.
He loved it so much he asked for more so he could get them Auto'd during spring training as Ryan got him into the clubhouse. He did, so now I have an Ichiro auto on a photo I took, and ICHIRO himself has a copy.
I'd barter if you can? Trade for something of Goff only his mom can get you?

Can I just say how proud I am of the Blowout Community? 15 posts deep and not a single mention of pics of his mom. Looks like we're growing up (tear in eye).

He will post on PSA boards from time to time (I was not sure if he does that here as well).
