View Full Version : Who do you hate most on your team and why?

Here's a different take. Most people always talk about their favorite players, but how about their least favorite?

Some rules to this:
Have to pick a current player/rookie.
No one that will probably end up on the practice squad.
No camp bodies. This player you fully expect to make the team

For me its Christian Hackenburg.

I'm a diehard Penn State and Jets fan, so you would think this would be perfect for me. Fro as long as I've been a fan to the point, I follow certain players and always hoped the jets would get a PSU fan for me to root for. The ONE person I never wanted was Hack. Sure maybe it wa the fact he took 100+ sacks that he plays scared, but he is so erratic. Huge Arm, but Stevie Wonder has a better shot to hit a target. Scouts prided on his lack of interception, but like a receiver, a defender cant catch a ball that is 10 feet over their heads!

I don't hate anyone. At all. To answer your question, Romo needs to go. It's not all his fault; the Cowboys just need to start over. Jerry never should have rushed him back, just to break his clavicle a third time. Dez never should have come back last season, either. The Cowboys should have taken the long view.

With starfox, I don't hate any player. As a Dallas fan, my frustration comes from lack of desire/heart, in general. They've got some of the top talent in the entire league, and they'll go out and own teams for a quarter, or two, at a time... and then just collapse/give up/don't care/collect paycheck/blame everyone but themselves.... etc.

PR/CB Marcus Sherels - He is a Minnesota kid and is a great punt returner but always gets thrown into CB duties because of injuries and is HORRID. Aaron Rodgers can probably have a career highlight video just lighting up Sherels on a game by game basis. I cringe every time i see him in the game on defense, because I know the opposing team is about to march down the field.

Nobody in Indy, but Coby Fleener was so frustrating. For every terrific catch he'd make a boneheaded play. The potential is there, no question, but he didn't maximize that potential in a Colts uniform. Perhaps he'll fare better in New Orleans.

Well, to be fair, he took 100 sacks and played scared because he was behind one of the worst O-lines in all of college football the past two years.

I don't know that he'll pan out, but he definitely has the most natural talent of any QB on that roster.

I know its not fair and I know dude is a pretty good QB and does a ton of charity work. But Jay Cutler has such a punchable face I have to put him on the list.

Maybe its his "I dont care" shoulder shrugs after going 3 and out or tossing yet another pick. Or the fact that he doesn't rush the end zone to cheer with teammates after a score. Jay is usually alone on the bench as well.

This may surprise some people but I really don't like Jordan Cameron, TE Dolphins. They bring him in to catch passes but the O-Line is such a mess (shocker) he ends up blocking on almost every play. Have you seen the guy try to block, it is horrendous. What was the point?

Glad they got rid of him last year but really hated Cortland Finnegan. Never saw someone play so blatantly dirty in a Dolphins uniform.

In years past, I could name 3-4 players on the roster. However, I am really liking this team that Fox and Pace have built. They have high character, and hard working guys filling out the roster (and they have talent on top of that). About time Chicago.

The Niners have the most likable roster they've had in a while. I can't remember a player I've hated though from '11-'14 I can think of players that frustrated me by their inability to stay out of trouble.

On my team, it has to be Eli... One day it's huge yardage and TD's and the next 3 weeks it's pick 6, int's and incompletions. It's like waking up to a new day everyday with the knowledge of a 3 year old making weather predictions.

Darryl Washington is complete jerk.... he asks for a nice contract, we pay him and he turns around and gets introuble and hasn't played since 2013..... What a bum and we had to let Karlos Dansby go (which he was a solid backup) to pay for Washington and what happens is he screwed the team.

My second player which I dislike him but doesn't really deserve to be hated is....
Andre Ellington cause I don't know why our coach has such a man crush on ellington. He plays more than he deserves too and is always injured. I like Chris Johnson and David Johnson way more.

Marcus Cannon, he's terrible. He's like a revolving door he can't block anyone. Seen him get beat so many times and allow sacks on Brady. They might as well put a manikin out there or a guy with no arms to block.

Ryan may have struggled last year but it wasn't all on him. Hard to throw a ball when the center can't even snap it to him. But he was learning a new system and made some bonehead mistakes. I think he will be fine this year

He's made some incredible catches that i had to rewind and watch several times. I was like how did he catch that? Brady doesn't really throw to him a lot but it seems like when they really need a big play he steps up. I like Amendola especially after taking a pay cut because he loves playing in NE.

I'm not a huge fan of Jimmy Graham. I feel like we didn't get enough use out of him for what we gave up, especially with how chopped up the O-Line is. Plus, I really like Luke Willson.

With all due respect, Eli was a huge part of 2 SB wins and arguably the most satisfying SB win of any team...ever. The guy can be inconsistent (was horribly so for a long time), but I don't know how you could dump on him.

That said, I'll have an even more arguable pick. Mine in OBJ. Maybe it is a bit too early to judge, but he seems like he may be that prototypical "what could have been?" elite diva WR who will be the biggest contributor to the team many weeks, but shoot the team in the foot more than a few times (plexico pun somewhat intended). I know it was one incident, but that launch against Norman was a POS move that transcends a lapse of judgment...and I hate that will be cheering that guy.

I mean, the pay cut is great and all, but he still frustrates the complete $h!t out of me; mostly because of what you point out. One minute, the guy is making highlight real catches. The next minute he's struggling to get onto the field. I guess I'm a guy that gets frustrated with players that struggle to reach their potential.

Disagree with the Chung hate. His first stint with the NEP was a friggin' disaster. However, he's really got his act together after having a tour of the NFL, and I think he's realized that he has to be better. He's a short article on PFF about NE's safety play last year: https://www.profootballfocus.com/safety-trio-lifting-patriots-secondary/

Problem I have with Chung is he is a PI waiting to happen on every single pass coming his way. He can't get his head around and basically mauls guys. It is not good awareness, and eventually with the flag happy refs, will catch up. Also gives fuel to those who say the Pats get all the call, non-calls.

I like ellington. The guy is a playmaker and I believe is alot like jamal charles if he could stay healthy all year long. The fact that he is our third option shows the running back depth we have now.

As a Jags fan, the obvious answer is Justin Blackmon. Though most would probably say Luke Joeckel, and while he was bad last year, he did show improvement outside of week 17.

I would wholeheartedly say Jonathan Cyprien for my answer. He's atrocious in coverage which would be fine if he didn't miss so many tackles and take such bad angles on the run.
