Still working on completing the set but wanted to share my partial completion. Sad to know Topps stopped selling packs...going to get harder now.

I'm actually surprised that they are selling them for so little right out of the gate. Topps was getting $75 when not on sale. The fact that DA is only asking 59.95 immediately seems like a solid deal.

The fact is, they now control the worlds supply of these packs. If I were them I would have tried $75 for a couple of weeks and dropped that down to $59.95 on a weekend sale.

What I like most about these are the nice autographs by the older players except CC. I get that the guys now sign a ton but I really like a nice clean auto

I didn't know purchasing something and then relisting it via template on a website was a ton of work, enlighten me.

The reason they were on sale was because at 75 nobody was a buyer, at 50 people were..... the 75 left up there means nothing and then the sale price of 60 is just a selling tactic.....but I agree they should have started at full MSRP and dropped from there until their stock started depleting.

they do control the supply now, and can charge whatever they want, I never said they couldn't.

for the sake of argument (since I don't feel like working) what would be your opinions had say Idol bought all these up and was selling them on ebay for 20% more? I would imagine the butthurt would be much great, but under the guise of a "company" it makes it okay:rolleyes:


I don't care about these since I saw the only 3 I wanted were SSSP's, and I wasn't going to chase them or overpay for singles, FYI.

Good for them for buying them up and reselling once the saw there was a good following for the set, it is good for the bottom line, but bad business IMO. I was simply making an observation.

Well you don't know what they got them for, so for sake of putting a price let's say $40 a piece. To make you happy they should sell them for what?

To "make me happy"? There is no such thing, only the pursuit of happiness.

$60 is a fair price regardless of what they paid, I just don't believe in buying for resale in this situation.

I feel it sheds a poor light on you and your possible business practices in the eyes of the consumer and should never be done.....individuals I hold to a different standard and expect this type of stuff.

Well that's a different story, and I agree with you there. Topps was not having a hard time moving them on their site or on eBay, so I'm not really sure why they went that route with DA -but DA is known for being the dumping ground for UD and Topps.

Maybe Topps licensing deal made them do it (dump them quick)?

You do realize that 99% of all products for sale are resale items yes? Be it buying from a manufacturer or a second/third etc party, this is just how sales work. In the case above, DA is buying direct from Topps just like a distributor would. I just can't comprehend where you are coming from on this.
