View Full Version : 8 Boxes 2014 Topps Heritage High Number

EDIT: Just picked these up from Beckett. I pulled out the ones that I knew for sure would 9.5. What I can't believe is that there were zero 10 subgrades. These cards were some of the nicest copies of any card I've seen. Not bummed though!

After seeing redsraysbball21's thread where he opened 24 of these boxes and pulled 4 Mookies, I was intrigued. $30/box seemed like a nice gamble and he had a nice run of boxes, so I purchased the 8 that were remaining the day that his thread was posted.

Here are the goods:

The first box had the Mookie auto. Second box was DeGrom. Third box was Heaney red. I couldn't believe it. Obviously, the break cooled off, but I still managed to get 2 more nice RC autos in Polanco and Panik.

Nice! I had added those 8 boxes to my cart as well, but chickened out. Glad to see you pulled the trigger and were rewarded.

For now I'm keeping the Betts and deGrom, but I'll keep you two in mind when I decide to sell.

I pulled a red autograph numbered to 60 something. Guess they are suddenly more rare for some reason.

It's different sets. The boxed set version in 2013/2014 Red ink autos are numbered to 10.

Thx for sharing, I love Heritage, always a fun break with sleeper value. Any chance the Polanco auto is available? Any other Pirates stuff? PM works best for me.

The break that keeps on giving. Just returned home from Beckett. Went 7 for 7 (though only 3/7 on true gems if you care about that. Headed back to work now.

From the looks of it, they're frequently on sale. Mookie prices have gone insane though, so that's likely a contributing factor.

It's not just here, it's other places too.

All over the internets, magically a $39.99 set nearly doubles in price or is yanked from storefronts altogether.

I really hate this hobby sometimes.

I'm sure Clear Vision football's MSRP was above what it's selling for.

Doesn't mean that if Jameis Winston throws 5 TDs in a game, a handful of online retailers should all raise the price of Clear Vision by 80-100% or take it off the shelves.

Wanted to bump this up. Sets are now like $300. And we were talking about how crazy it was to go from $40 to 80. Now look at it

I was already severely regretting moving all of my Mookies for pennies. Seeing this at the top of the box break section was traumatic. I'll have the therapist bill you.

These 8 boxes were $30 each in 2016. The auto pic isn't showing but I pulled Mookie, DeGrom, Heaney red /10, 2x Aaron Sanchez, Polanco, can't remember the other 2.
