Not good for the diet, but maybe next time :-)

Angels Stadium is one of my favorite ballparks, especially on a summer night. Have fun!

Should have invited me. =) I'm less then 10 mins away.

What kind of info you looking for? Cool Pujols HR tracker out in CF behind the rocks. Also a little art display booth that is grossly overpriced on the main level on the 3rd base side. Pretty cool just to look at. There is a team store on the main level at the main gate, along with a little display from the 2002 WS team and other awards. There is a smaller team store behind home plate on the second level as well if you plan to do any shopping.

There is also a beer garden out in the RF pavilion where the youngsters watch the game and drink.

Truly not the most historic or exciting stadium, but I do go there often so i'm likely jaded. No cool statues or anything yet out front. Now that I think about it it's a pretty bland stadium. But Pujols and Trouty will be in the house, all that should matter! ;D

If you see Tim Anderson tonight, tell him I said "hey"

He will know what that means

They typically do a post game interview post game behind the rocks where usually Garrett Anderson or Tim Salmon may be. It's not public access but you can get pretty close. Also right outside the stadium main gate they usually have a pregame and post game on FSW that you can watch and wave to the camera's.

If you have the time, another potentially thrilling thing I can offer is after the game, friends and family hangout right near the elevators near the awards/team store areas. Usually road players will shower up and come to visit friends/relatives so you can get up close and personal if anyone should come out but security will eventually attempt to drive you away if you have no true purpose there but I don't usually see home players come out. The home team parking lot is behind CF and enclosed behind a gate but you can see some of the nice vehicles some of the dudes drive.... if you are really that bored. ;D

Probably leave in the 7th. Still have to drive back up to LA. Early flight tomorrow and we've been in SD the entire day. Head back to NY after a 10 day trip.

Calivino's Pub across the street on Katella is a nice place to hang out after the game. We usually duck out in the 7th inning and make our way over there for a quick beer and bite to eat. Once in a while they will have a Groupon Special, if you do go, let me know what you think.

Nah. Was in SF last week. Carmel the start of this week. LA for a couple days. Drove down to SD to see a college buddy last night and back to LA tonight. Fly home tmrw. Fun trip but very excited to get home. My biggest/best Mailday (mail week) post is coming when I get home. May wait for BGS sub that just popped to get in before I make the post.

There's also a Hooters on Katella near the 57 offramp. They serve wings there.

I visited for the first time a month or so ago and I would say your description is spot on. There's nothing that makes it special but nothing that makes it bad. Just kind of non-descript. Pretty cheap tickets field level and the tacos were pretty good.

California Girls is always fun. They serve... $6 sodas so you will feel like you are back at the ball park! ;)

Just left.

Sitting behind home plate was a great view. Stadium reminds me of Shea and old Busch. Just a dump but solid site lines and a good place to watch a game. Crowd was relatively quiet but it was a quiet game. Would have to rank in the lower 20% of stadiums that I've been to but it's old.

The view from my seats of the mountains and sunset was absolutely stunning but that was probably the highlight.

Asked a few people around me if there was somewhere or something I should eat and no one had any suggestions. That's sad with all the great eats around the stadiums now a days.

So I only took a few pictures but thought these were OK from my seats in the 400 level.
