This was not related to a card being shipped but a gift card. I was hoping to tap the knowledge of this board.

Someone bought a gift card from me on ebay. He said it did not work. Shipped it back, provided tracking, never received it. Contacted USPS and they do not have an address for where the envelope was delivered.

I know there are scams where people send things to false addresses. I thought USPS keeps an address for everything that is tracked.

Of course the sender is not responding.

If it matters, the label was created a kiosk.

They still make you type address in at the kiosks. The USPS knows the address, they just aren't telling.

I thought the kiosk only required the zip code and not full address.

We have a lost package and USPS won't give the address it was delivered to? What reason would that be?

The person at the USPS office said based on the scanner used at delivery it was not on my route. It is clear this person is a scammer.

They now require the street name and number at the kiosk.
