I've got ~$4,200 sitting over on COMC. I was going to cash out, but the loss of ~$900 is hard to swallow.

Could someone tell me how COMC sends the payment, is it Friends and Family, or will I get hit with additional fee's when they send.

I've been going through the higher cards on COMC ($1,000+) and not really finding much I could flip.

I considered the BO Gift Vouchers, however, I'm getting out of cards, so that seemed like not a great idea haha.

Thoughts? Does anyone have any high value cards they want to sell that I can flip on eBay? lol

They really should team up with Amazon or Ebay for a gift card voucher program for equal money.
20% is insane

Ohhh man, I'd hop all over even 10% off an Amazon Gift Card lol

I've done cash outs, received everything less 20%, no additional Paypal fees. I've also done BO credit. I hate doing either to be honest. My preference under the current system is buying things and reselling but I'm in the same boat as you OP, I've got $5k sitting right now. Finding $5k worth of buyable items is tough and then is the hassle in listing, selling and shipping them.

I don't have the right answer but the cash out fees are a bish no matter how you slice it. It's even worse now when you couple them with the Ebay/Amazon hit. I've started buying items to sell off site but I hate having to do it.

It would take some work, and trust. But maybe find someone with a High End Trout/Harper something that sells for $2k-$5k pretty easily. Maybe see if you can purchase the card, but have them send to comc. You buy it there (Say for a small premium) get it shipped to you from COMC quick sell it on ebay. Maybe you still pay 12% total in fees, but not the 20%

New fee system? Can I find details about this listed anywhere?

In the eBay rollout, the staff mentioned that they would work on reducing the 20% paid out to eBay to be more competitive with their actual take of 12.9% or even negotiate a lower FVF with eBay. It was mentioned to someone at the national that they are keeping the 20% in place for both Amazon and eBay until probably around January.

However, I don't think they're considering reducing the cash out fee, just the eBay sales commission fee.

I wouldn't hold my breath re: the lowering of ANY fees/cash out on comc

You guys should wait and see. Early next year, nothing I can share since it is not mine to share but there are changes coming.

I bit the bullet and did a cash out a few days ago. I requested a check, not sure how long that will take. Just saves more money going through my Paypal account.

The fees stink, but when I think about scanning, descriptions, titles, idiotic buyer issues, packaging, shipping, printing labels.... 20% started looking A-ok to me. Had a majority of my sales been on ebay/amazon I may have felt differently. The combo fee is brutal.

I read something about new fees being implemented but can't remember where.

https://blog.comc.com/2016/06/01/coming-soon-to-ebay-comc/

While you’re enjoying an increase in sales on eBay, we’re going to monitor the sales to help us finalize a brand new commission structure which introduces a Final Value Fee on every sale to better support high end cards. That means you’ll earn the same amount of Store Credit from an eBay sale as you do from a COMC sale. Additionally, our current 20% Cash Out fee will be significantly reduced and even eliminated, in some cases. We’ll announce more details as we get closer to the end of the beta period.

Have you not heard the horror stories about asking for a check from comc.
You could have had them send the money to paypal and had pp send you a check for $1.50 vs $3 from comc.

Actually, I have not heard the horror stories. Certainly doesn't mean they don't exist, I just hadn't heard of them. The goal was to avoid more funds hitting my Paypal account.

The only bad things I've heard is the time it takes. Apparently they aren't cut to order, instead they have a set day a week, every other week or whatever where someone will sit down and cut them all at once. No idea if that is still the case or not but unless you need the money asap, it is the direction I plan on going and for the exact same reason. Besides, I haven't found the Paypal cash out to be all that speedy in its own right.

I did it three times, if the funds are sent to paypal immediately and you request a check from pp. It takes a week for me to receive the check. That's pp to NYC,
the closer you live to Wisconsin, the faster you'll get the check.

The website stated 10 business days for the check. For me, that's fine as long as they stick to what they say. If we can all wait 2-8 weeks for processing, what's another couple to get paid? I just see a large advantage over getting the check instead of having all my comc sales essentially run through my paypal, just in one lump.

Or are you trying to hide money from your wives?
Ajax might have been one of the members who had a long wait for a check.

I'm guessing they don't want the money included in tax report paypal sends out.

I was thinking that but wasn't going to post it.I'm sticking to the wives story for tax purposes.

Just wanted to update on the whole cash out thing. I requested a check be mailed as opposed to paypal payment. It took COMC 5 business days to mail the check, as I just received the email saying check has mailed.

I think that's very reasonable, and I'll go that route in the future.
