HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:D

Mark Berman of FOX 26 in Houston reports that the Redskins will work out free agent QB JaMarcus Russell Tuesday.

Russell has been spotted at the Redskins' practice facility, so it sounds like the report is legit. The Redskins are the first team to show any interest in the former No. 1 overall pick since he was cut loose by the Raiders. Russell, who has been working out in Houston with hopes of catching on with an NFL team, just had codeine possession charges dropped last week, so it's possible the 'Skins were just waiting for the quarterback's legal issues to be behind him. Stay tuned. Nov. 2 - 11:35 am et

Give Grossman a freaking chance. He did really well in the preseason....i know it was just the preseason, but I think he still has it in him.

Guess i'm just being biased...lol

Can someone PLEASE tell me how people like Tom Jackson, Keyshawn and Carter were defending McNabb last night ? I understand the whole race thing but for years even the national media has been bad mouthing the Eagles and their fans in general for seeing the same faults that it only took Shanny 2 months to see. Granted I'm not talking about all the windowlickers in Philly who think their teams should win every game, I'm talking about some of the local writers and people like myself who actually watch ALL the games and have a clue. McNabb has been in the league since 1999 and STILL can't run his own 2 minute drill without someone calling the plays for him. He really doesn't work hard in practice to improve on his mechanics which is why he throws darts into the ground constantly. He isn't a leader and shows no urgency when the team is behind.

McNabb isn't a top tier QB anymore and hasn't been for a while. If Andy Reid does anything really well it's that he knows when it's time to cut ties with veteran players. The NFC Championship game against the Cards a few years back showed all of McNabb's faults and cost the Eagles a shot at a championship. It's obvious when the team is trailing he doesn't have any comeback ability like he did his first 5 years. He comes up small time and again. When I'm scoreboard watching on Sundays and I see the Skins trailing late I always say to myself he ain't bringing them back.

When Brady got his big deal and they interviewed McNabb about him and Manning being "up next" like Donovan deserved anything close to what Brady or Manning got/will get I almost threw up in my mouth. Glad to see at least Shanny isn't blinded. Thanks for the pick that got us Nate Allen Skins, wonder who your QB will be next year.:D

Fat and out of shape aside, does ANYONE really think Russell could run an NFL offense ? The guy has a big arm and tiny brain. They'd be better off drafting and letting Shanny develop a kid.

I am a huge Gator fan and even I can admit he sucks. Jesse Palmer was a better QB and he isnt even playing lol

I think regardless of how people view Mcnabb's total body of work over the last few years, he is still an above average QB who makes plays. Bottom line is the Skins knew what they were getting and felt like they had a better chance to win with him playing as their #1 qb. But any idiot would know that throwing in your backup qb fresh off the bench for a 2 minute drill is never a good idea unless it's Favre/Montana sitting on your bench. I agree mcnabb is no longer a top tier qb but he is still effective and gives that team the best chance at winning. let's not mash up all of Mcnabb's issues into the point in hand.

He's above average but that isn't saying much in today's NFL. He's not even top 10 but you wouldn't know it listening to some people in the media. It's laughable when people mention him in the same breath as Brady and Manning. It's not even close and honestly never really was if you watched him game after game for his entire career. He was a good QB who couldn't win when it mattered most and came up tiny in pressure situations when his team needed him to win them a game late.

I agree Grossman is a stiff but Shanny knew he had no shot if he left McNabb in for the final drive. The guy just doesn't have it in pressure situations. Didn't take Shanny long to see that.

I will take above average anytime! I'm a niners fan so consider the context. haha

Yeah there's no way McNabb is in anywhere near brady or Manning but he's still had a nice career. It's different b/c I'm not an Eagles fan and I understand where the angst is burning from but from a outsider's perspective mcnabb did the best he could.

If mcnabb may not deal with pressure that well but I wouldn't entrust grossman to field a last minute drive!

He works out???

By work out, they mean taking him to lunch and that's one lunch bill I wouldn't want to pick up.
