I could only get a maximum of ~4,900 so I'm under the impression that only 5,000 were made.

These seem fairly similar the Turkey Red that came out a few years ago for $20 a box. Anyone remember how many boxes they had available for that? 2,000 is coming to mine but I'm not sure.

I think the centering is on purpose; to make it look like a Polaroid picture. I would agree that it's a pretty boring design though. Hard to tell if the size is going to be standard, or match the polaroid size. I'll wait to see some breaks before deciding, but will probably pass.

Autos appear to be all on card. Not all autographs are live. And, yes, it appears most or all top autos will have just the two parallels (Black & White to 10 and Negative to 5).

That's the pretty typical economic pattern with products these days from the manufacturer side. Have to balance out the real costly autos in products with affordable ones to get the per-pack cost down to keep product cost down.

Oh yeah, for sure. It's like that with Bowman and all the others, except they don't tell us how many base autos there are. But there are always more of the lesser guys, it's just interesting to know exactly how many. It's still pretty good for $30 a box.

My $150 break stuck and I've made back $100 with 3 Alomar Sr. and an Oscar Gamble auto left, as well as most base and some B&W. Cards look great... for $30 I give it a B.

I absolutely love this product. Bought 5 boxes. And now in for another 5.

At 5,000 boxes with 1 B&W per box, and a checklist of 50 cards, assuming equal print runs, that means there are 100 of each B&W.

I pulled a B&W Seager RC. I have a feeling this card is a sleeper.

The other really crazy thing - I bought 5 boxes = 50 base cards. I had nearly perfect collation and only had one duplicate. I have 49/50 on base. Just missing Ken Griffey Jr. base. For someone that likes to build sets, this was like winning the lottery. 49/50!!! 1 dupe!

This is an excellent product. the cards are beautiful, the price is low, the checklist is small, the black and white cards have low print runs and value, and there are several great autos. I bought one box and hit a griffey jr. black and white auto so i may be biased but still.

I had the same issues as other have mentioned. Ordered 6 boxes and 3 were identical except for the auto and b/w card at the end. Cards are like a developed photo in appearence, real nice. Ended up with a 1/10 Ripkin b/w auto as the best of the bunch.

I just opened three boxes. The base cards were the same in each, kind of a bummer. For black & whites, I got a Cabrera, Mondesi, and Ortiz. My three autos were Edwards, Biggio (1/15), and a Maeda negative (2/5)! I agree the cards are very high quality. Too bad the collation is terrible.

I opened my six boxes - three identical sets of base cards. Was hoping for at least one base set out of this...

Autos were all /300 and /350 - did get one extra. Nothing super great there.

BW - Correa, Schwarber, Ortiz, Boone, Edwards, Conforto

The price point is okay, so I may go after some more. Just hope I get better results on the autos and can complete a set.

Two boxes here. Really happy for the price. I ended up getting Nola and Klesko autos, two of the more common ones, but am pretty happy to add the Nola to my collection.

My base cards were exactly the same in both packs - the B&W were Bryce Harper and Chipper Jones - not bad!

I've busted a bunch of boxes and bought on eBay and have multiple complete base sets, and nearly a complete B&W set. On the autos front, I am missing a lot, but have 15 of 36.

My question is this: Has anyone seen base autos of these players at all?

Yes, it's insane. I'm actually tracking my breaks in a spreadsheet and can see how bad the collation is. The base are a huge issue. In the last 5 boxes I opened, 3 of them had the exact same cards. Different B&W and autos, but same base in the same order even. I have 6 of some base cards and only 2 of others.

pretty certain all of those guys only have the parallel autos. I hit a Griffey black and white in my one box and it was on ebay for a while but i took it down.

edit: paul o neill has base autos im pretty certain and so does david ortiz but i havent seen any of the others.

Finally got into this product with the pre-Black Friday sale!
Been wanting to break this stuff for a while, so it was a no brainer for me to jump on it at $19.99 per box.

Bought 5 boxes, and hit Carl Yastrzemski B&W auto #/10, and Severino Negative parallel auto #/5, which in my own view was very good.
The box of Yastrzemski actually had one more auto, so I got 6 autos out of 5 boxes.

The only part that sucked was being duped on the base card collation twice.
But then again, I might use that as an excuse for myself to buy some boxes again when there is another sale... (hopefully on the day of actual Black Friday)

Home Delivery is FedEx Home Delivery, which runs Tuesday - Saturday. So you will sometimes get the items quicker on a Saturday depending on what day you order. Smart Post uses FedEx ground to get the package to your city, then it uses the post office to deliver the package. Usually takes an extra day to transfer from FedEx to USPS. Also, since FedEx ground runs Monday - Friday, packages can sometimes not get to your town until Monday, then transferred to the USPS on Tuesday, then delivered on Wednesday, so might take 3 more days if the timing is bad.

Figured I would post up my results from the 30 boxes I have opened to give you a idea to the frequency to the base cards as they never published if there were SP or SSP versions. While I could just be running into a sample size issue, there is one group that I have only hit once, so that is why I tend to believe there are SP or even SSP base cards in this. Overall though, I am in love with this product and will probably break more! I have also included my auto hits.

I think you'll make your money back. Two Maeda's have sold for $100. Low number Sano will get a couple bucks still probably. Not bad at all. :)

And as somebody also mentioned, Topps definitely seem to overproduce on the Hector Olivera packs. I had 5 out of 8 boxes of those base cards (though on one of them, the order of Hector Olivera - Bryce Harper was switched as Bryce Harper - Hector Olivera).



Funny you mention Olivera because in the first thirty boxes that I opened, I only hit one run of the packs with Olivera in it. I was certain his pack run was an SP.

I got three boxes a couple of weeks ago and two of the three had Olivera on top. The other was Eckersley. Have three more boxes coming in next week and will probably buy a few more if the boxes go on sale again. I do believe these have better value than the 65th Anniversary Archives boxes at WM.

Didn't really keep track of which set of base cards I got each time out of the 5 possibilities.
Now I find out that I'm completely missing one of them.....
Can't even complete a set with buying 13 boxes...

Nice break! Getting only one complete set is insane, but if you were going to get a large amount of the same cards, I think you did it right!

My guess is the Griffey packs are where the nicer hits are at. The shipping department at Topps seriously botched the distribution of these things. Hopefully they learn their lesson and offer future products by the case as well. There's no reason why they couldn't have offered these in lots of 5 and guaranteed a set.

20% of your boxes had Sandy Alomar Sr. autos. Yuck.36% either Alomar Sr. or Bob Boone. That's ridiculously bad collation. I would say next year needs a bigger checklist, but realistically that would just replace a few of those Alomar Sr. autos with someone equally meh.

My last 21 boxes should be delivered today if FedEx bothers to take the package to the apartment management office. It's hit or miss with them.

I finished opening my final 21 boxes. The results are on the box breaks forum. Don't bother looking.

My final 22 boxes came in today and here are the highlights. Overall I broke 65 boxes of Snapshots and can say this is one of my favorite products of the last few years. I did have some incredible luck with it, but for just $25 a box, you can't beat getting a guaranteed auto. Below are pics from tonight and then a few pictures of my best overall hits.

Well, the boxes were reasonably priced but the pics are really sharp. I love the set. Mike, if I knew where I put my extras I'd just send them to you, but I have no idea. $9 to finish the set from crt (including a Trout) ain't bad.

Oh I completely agree, but he doesn't have the Schwarber and only 2 Trouts. I would need 5 of each to complete all 5 sets. If I just wanted to make 1 set for myself that would definitely be the way to go and just pick up a Schwarber from someone else (and I might end up doing that to keep 1 for myself).
