I was wondering whether these grading companies keep photos of the cards they grade that one can access? Thanks

No. Well... I should say I've never heard that they do. It would help with scams but increase their labor as they would get requests like crazy. When I made silver bars, I took pics of every bar made. I think Leaf took pics of a patch set they made.

I think it's a good idea when it comes to vintage cards because they are faked the most

It would be really nice if they could do a nice scan front and back and automate it into their registry. But, that would be a lot of labor.

No they do not. That would be too much work

wouldnt it take almost just as much time to put it into a scanner, press a button and it uploads?
Wouldn't you rather use whichever company offered it first? If I was a business, I'd love to do something to increase my clientele base.

I think a photo scan service is something that people would pay for, especially with higher value vintage. All a potential buyer would then have to do to verify is check the card being sold with the picture in the database.

**PSA—if you are reading—here is an opportunity for you to make more money and add peace of mind to buyers of your slabs.**

That would be too many files to handle and it would take them keeping track of a needless database so I am not sure why they would even attempt it.

It's not out of the question that it could be done for every one. NGC over on the certified coin collecting side does it for all new ones, since I believe like 2011. They call it "Security imaging".

i dont follow the coin market, but are they slabbing thousands of coins a day there?

I would not doubt they do hundreds, if not thousands, of certifications a day. NGC is one of the two top coin certifiers in the industry. The other being PCGS.

They could charge 5 bucks a card, and I guarantee a lot of people would do it for vintage, Jordan's, jeters, pmgs etc. Would be huge with basketball collectors.
