Ok so I get the mail in and had one package. Opened up a saw it was a Lesean Mccoy 3 color patch from threads. Only problem is there is a monster crease down the middle right through the patch. It came in a plastic bubble mailer just throw in there. I picked up off ebay for $1.75, but she charged me $3.50 for shipping, so the least she could do is protect it. When I sell a card, I protect it fully and want it to arrive to the buyer in perfect condition, whether it's a $1 card or a $300 card. Sorry for the rant, but this stuff is really pissing me off lately. I will post a scan in a minute.

Do it! These kind of sellers need to learn! I'd find a way to leave negative feedback as well!

She charged $3.50 for shipping and only cost $1.39. This bubble mailer could not have cost more than $.30, so she's making like $2 just on the shipping part of it.

To the lynch mob in this thread, please do not forget the common courtesy of giving the Seller a chance to fix things before ringing them up for a Negative Feedback. Everyone would like to have the same consideration as a seller.

I'm going to give her a chance to make things right. That's the only fair thing to do.

Not directed to you at all. You are a sane voice on these boards. Many of the people chiming in with their opinion brought their lead pipes and ropes.

I would be P*ssed too if I got that good of a deal on the card only to have it damaged in shipment due to poor packaging.

I'm going to give her a chance to make things right. That's the only fair thing to do.

Maybe I'll just cut the patch out of the card and sew it to my jersey. That way it could be a partially game-used jersey lol

I'm going to do something with it, maybe super glue it to a quarter or something. I don't think I'm even going to try to get my money back. I think it wil be more trouble than I need considering I paid like $5

If I ever leave feedback, I will try to talk to the seller first. If she offers to send another card or refund my money, then I don't think anything like that is needed. I will give her some shipping suggestions though either way

Shipping costs $1.39, the bubble mailer costs about $1.39, and the case, if she'd have used one would be $.59 or $.69.

This bubble did not cost that much, even if she bought it as a single. It is the cheapest kind of bubble mailer I have ever seen. With all the stuff she is selling, I can almost guarantee she is buying her supplies in bulk. The most it could have cost that way is $.50

What kind of mailer was it? I always charge $3.40 shipping and it seems like I have to explain myself, but I usually lose money on it.

Bubble Mailers in bulk are less than $.15 each. I miss the days when you could mail one card in a Top Load in a Bubble Mailer for $.49

I don't even see a brand on it. It's some super cheap plastic crap, not the recycled paper kind that I always use. Honestly if the thing would have been packaged correctly, I wouldn't mind paying $3.50 for shipping.

I know what I charge for shipping ($2.99) is not an issue of how much I am actually making, but rather how well I package the card and make sure it get's to it's destination in good shape. If I take the time to assure the card is protected properly, who cares if I or any seller is making a few pennies on the shipping, that has always been an issue for me when someone is concerned if a seller is making money shipping! I realize this is not a good example as the seller did not protect the card properly, but overall I see this complaint alot and feel it's not necessary IMO.
And Nate I do see where you acknowledge if packaged properly cost does not matter, I can't agree more!

My previous post just explained it really. I 100% do not mind paying even $4 for a really nice card if it arrives to me in pristine condition. But the way this lady handle this transaction, she is clearly making extra money and is not even protected the card

Yea the price for shipping is never an issue to me as long as I get my card in the correct condition

Bubble mailers cost $1.29 at the post office, the cheapest I've found them here in town are 49 cents each, add $1.39 to shipping first-class and possible dc# and the $3 shipping seems plausible to me.

That being said, I almost wonder if the card pictured on ebay was not a scan of the card you bought, that crease seems damn near impossible to have happen through the mail. Usually corners get dinged up really bad with poor mailing, a crease through the middle like that almost makes me think it was damaged before you even bought it.

Regardless it does suck, I tend to go in streaks of trades on here from people where cards have some faults to them and then streaks of mint cards. Very annoying.

I hope you get your money back simply based on principal. Send her a message and if she doesn't comply leave her a negative.

Damaged card mail days are the worst. :(

DC numbers cost $.19 cents on paypal shipping, and you don't have to take it to the PO

Just want to make a quick comment. It frustrates me to think that a seller would be this careless because it was so cheap. I mean, they maybe even figure "well, even if it gets there damaged they won't worry about getting a refund, so why should I bother to protect it better?". That is what really grinds my gears.

Sorry to hear about this Nate, it was a nice looking card. Sure you or one of us can come across another one soon for ya. :)!

On my higher end stuff, I ship free and insure them. I just paid $9.71 to ship the Triple auto I had out and that was put of my pocket. I charge usually $2.75 or $3.00 when I ship other stuff out and im usually losing money on that if you count the supplies and everything cuz its $2.36 just to ship them and I put better cards in one touch holders so thats another dollar I lose but Id never not have a card in atleast a toploader and then a team bag. Id ask for a refund on the shipping since she did that and if not, leave a negative. Id just leave a negative on her since its not worth paying the return shipping on a $5 transaction

Well first off it was $3.50 shipping. I don't know why you would post here about how much it would cost to ship something and how you feel her shipping price is justified after I already said it doesn't matter how much I pay for shipping as long as the card is protected. The cards always crease by the jersey piece when they're not protected because the window is obviously weaker then any other part of the card.

its people like that that just dont care, for whatever reason. i personally hate jersey cards due to fact i never seem to have enough top loads or the right ones for them, but when i sell and ship them they either get one from another card of mine, or usually ill take 2 normal top loads and tape them securely around the card, though i have seen alot of people just take cardboard pieces and basically do same thing. thankfully ive never ran into someone like this so cheap with no pride about what they do, but if i did i wouldnt care if it was 50 cents, id definately push and file for money back, and never buy from them again.

You can order 500 bubble mailers online for about $60-$65. I'm at work now and can't recall the website, but will post the link if anyone is interested. I've ordered from them twice with no issues.

You'd think she'd at least put a do-not-bend stamp on the package so that the package would not get bent in half.
