Good afternoon so recently I have gotten every moon knight book of his own series including every one shot and variant as well as the werewolf by night run and the spotlights and I was wondering if anyone else has finished a character like that? and also why you chose that character. I chose moon knight at a yard sale with my bumpa (grandfather) and it reminds me of him and my high school teacher got me further into comics when I was in school a few years ago. So id like to know your stories cause I cant be the only one to complete someone like this!:flex::flex::D:D

congrats on your accomplishment, that is awesome and no easy task! I also think that the reason behind your collection is what makes it so special and is so much more than just monetary value. Kudos to you!
I think in today's day and age people who collect runs are fewer and far between. It seems everything nowadays is centered around keys. That said I recall some members here having mentioned having a spider-man run that was passed down to them. YOu might also find more people like this from the CGC Set Registry.

Y---I WAS WELL ON MY WAY WITH A JOKER COLLECTION AT ONE POINT---THE EVOLUTION OF THE JOKER. ALL DIFFERENT COVERS, DIFFERENT ARTISTS. A COUPLE OF LONG BOXES FULL.
OBVIOUSLY, I WAS LOVING IT UNTIL I REALIZED THE COOLEST COVERS WERE OUT THERE IN PRICE. SO, I RE-EVALUATED AND DETERMINED I HAVE OTHER FAVES.
NOW, I AM PRIMARILY MARVEL AND BATTLE/VS. BOOKS ONLY. LOVE IT!
COUPLE NEW PICKUPS....

Nice books and thanks guys! I do find it annoying when people want just keys..like theres just so much story in the others its silly but it makes sense people would want the 1st appearances..i just hope moon knight gets a show or movie!

Mine is still ongoing but I am up to date as of now. My particular target is Miles Morales. So far I have every issue of his solo series (regular & variant). I'm also fortunate enough to have a full 9.8 graded set of his first appearance (First print, Variant & both 2nd prints). With my collection I tend to hit every (outside series) variant in which he plays a part in the book and is featured on the cover. Has to meet both criteria though or I'm not too interested.
It's not as impressive as the OP's Moon Knight accomplishment. Congrats btw.. that is awesome! But Miles was the reason I got back into comics after falling off years back. I always liked Spider-Man as a kid and he was the superhero I always wanted to be if I was ever asked that classic question. I look nothing like Peter Parker though... which was never a big deal to be honest.
But as someone of Black & Hispanic decent, seeing Miles take on the role as a kind of protégé to Parker is like a window into my childhood comic dreams. In fact my brother and I look just like him... matching skin tone and everything. Hell, both of us rock the exact same haircut. Sometimes I laugh because I'll come across a certain panel (out of costume of course) where the resemblance to either myself or my brother during our teenage years is uncanny. Crazy, right? So now I get to vicariously live my childhood dream by reading his adventures.
If I'm ever am fortunate to have a son (or my brother does), I hope to pass along that piece of my childhood and see him enjoy Spider-Man the same way as I did. With the added bonus of looking just like him if he takes after us in the looks department.

very cool stuff the three of you have with your collecting focus (Moon Knight, Battle Covers, Miles) - I am envious!
I equate you guys to set collectors with baseball cards and am glad you guys are carrying the torch and it means something to you each personally!

Character runs are tough! I would think plenty of comic lovers collect series runs. For example, I have a full run of Walking Dead, Invincible, Chew, Saga, Rachel Rising, and probably a couple others. But full character runs are tough b/c so many characters originated so long ago, their early issues are priced out of normal peoples budgets!

My 1st comic book was Spawn #1 I was in the 7th or 8th grade and just loved how the art was and no part of a single page was left blank so I begged my dad to take me to the LCS and I grabbed myself a Spawn#1 I still have it till this day in bag and homemade board I made from cutting up boxes to make my boards lol all other books I used real backers later but my Spawn I left with board I made I know it's not a pricey special book but it was my 1st comic so I treat it like Scrooge Mcduck lucky dime. So I just decided to go for it just grabbed a set 1-67 off ebay and going to try and get every issue spin offs and all . One day I want to get it signed by Todd and graded if I ever get the opportunity. If I had to sell every last book I owned I would never sell my Spawn #1 . I know i kinda went off subject but I'm sorry guys this jus kinda bring a tear to my eyes .

WOW! I did the same thing as a kid. There was no way what little money I could scrape together to buy comics was going to be spent on supplies. Many a cardboard box got destroyed in protecting my collection. Haha!
