Indy's Weekly Hot, Cool and Collected Comic Picks for this week!
Seven to Eternity #1 - Rick Remender Sci-Fi Book with both Jerome Opena and Matt Hollingsworth on art duties. This combination is a no-brainer for awesome book. I think it's got massive crossover appeal with both sci-fi and magic fantasy fans. Could prove to be very hot.
Batman #7 - New story arc begins "Night of the Monster Men"
Raven #1 - Marv Wolfman writes, yes THE Marv Wolfman. Picking up just for curiousity sake, not sure there's any long term value here. I just like Marv.
Trinity #1 - There is a nice variant to this trio of DC's biggest (Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman) that looks pretty sharp.
Black Hammer #3 - Series has been a blast so far and is picking up new fans, well worth grabbing the variant cover as well.
Harley Quinn #3 Sienkiewicz variant - I just love his art work and I think over time they'll be in demand.
Spider-Man #18 - Luke Cage variant
Black Eyed Kids #6 - Excellent Indie comic.
Heavy Metal #282 - Snag the Taarna Returns cover. Iconic woman from the movie makes a cover appearance.
Keeping checking this thread throughout the week for additional picks, news and comic views........

Black Hammer #3 was once again simply brilliant. Absolutely loving this book!!!
Seriously guys, if you don't have this one yet, get back issues now. With it's repeated high review numbers (http://comicbookroundup.com/comic-books/reviews/dark-horse-comics/black-hammer/3), this little sleeper is gonna sneak up on us if it keeps up with this awesome content and art.
The best way to describe Black Hammer is it is a comic book written by comic book lovers for comic book lovers. This book makes you feel nostalgic for comics, with its cheeky homage to classic comic tropes and prototypes we all know and love while promising a fresh new twist awaiting all the true believers who see this series through to the end. This is a must read for all those of us who claim to be comic lovers or anyone who is looking for a great series as a first exposure to comic book
Couldn't agree more. I love this book!

I'll have to check out Black Hammer. Read "Seven to Eternity" and enjoyed it. Been reading too many novels for work lately (I own a bookstore), need to catch up on stuff I've missed all year.

Seven to Eternity #1 - I just finished reading it. Overall I was very pleased. The story is mostly setup and introduction to the characters, but done in a very entertaining way. It's not a static story with the setup, you learn as the action happens. I like books that do this, much in the way Monstress did, and best of all, there were no call backs to previous situations, I really hate that in 1st issues. The art is beyond fantastic, colorful sci-fi/magical worlds with lots of new and interesting creatures. Very basic premise so far, but I can see it being much more than what it initially has setup here. I kinda felt like I was reading a Heavy Metal comic, only longer, and better. :)

Really liked it but had to read it twice because Opena's art was distracting from the story ( in a good way )
