I guess they're going to make me watch this dreadful show.

I actually saw a woman at Comic-Con this year dressed as Harley who looked as good as Robbie, believe it or not. I finally understood why people like photographing cosplayers, although I still didn't take the plunge myself...

As for SNL, I haven't missed an episode since I was a kid. There's usually something on it worth watching, even if it's only the musical guest, especially since it's still on free TV in the age of the DVR. There's been ups and downs, sure, but this show is just like baseball: there's always next season, and they're always bringing in new players.

I'm exactly the same. At this point I consider SNL like apart of my American past times. I watch SNL after all the college football, then pass out and watch NFL the next day. Not every episode is good but last season had some gems. And cast member Bobby Moynihan is a huge comic book junkie, collector and all, and being one of the writers he always sneaks in a comic book reference.

I didn't know that about Moynihan, but that's cool. His own intelligence shines through his characters, and now we know where he gets it, haha.

Former cast members Seth Myers and Bill Hader are comic fans, too. They even teamed up to write a Marvel Comics Spider-Man one-shot around 5 years ago.

No Harley/Suicide Squad related sketch unfortunately, but a pretty good episode overall. Ratings for the premiere were the best since 2008, including a good showing with the coveted 25-49 age demographic (the viewers the sponsors are keenest to sell things to).
Margot was probably a part of that increased draw, but a lot of people were looking forward to the debate sketch that opened the show and it didn't disappoint. SNL usually gets its best ratings during a Presidential election year.
