I dont see any reason to leave negative. Seller has been in communication with you and admits he messed up. Offered a refund. Mistakes happen. As far as shipping time is concerned, he shipped it in 3 business days (you cant blame him for holidays). Seems to me that he has done everything he can (above and beyond what he should have to) to satisfy you.

This is the classic backfire thread. The seller is making every effort to correct the perceived problem. It's positive feedback and it's not even close to anything else.
OP you landed on my BBL.

Some of those messages would likely get you in trouble and the neg removed anyway. NEVER mention feedback especially negative feedback in your communications with sellers. Especially on th part where you mentioned the shipping price as well, that could be sen you were fishing for a refund in exchange for you not negging him. If so that would be considered feedback extortion.

You are not required to leave any feedback if you don't want to either. I think that would be the best course, I don't agree with him stating priority and shipping first class. However you did mention it was first class with insurance so without knowing more info it could have been very close in price and there is no real difference between FC and priority mail.

Another point to consider is you buy and sell on the same ID, if you neg him, there would be nothing to stop him from using another ID to return the favor.

Its very possible he did drop it in the mail late on Wednesday and it did not get processed until Thursday. My PO will not scan packages at the counter for online postage. And even though it says last pick-up is at 5pm if its not there by 330 it may sit, all weekend if on a Friday.

You're right. Now that I've calmed down a bit I don't think it warrants a negative. He did ship in 3 business days. Listing stated the item would be received in 1-4 business. It took 5 so not a big deal there. My issue really is the dishonesty involved.

He knew his listing had errors but kept them up.
He knew when he printed my label that he had charged me for Priority and sent First Class anyway.

He made no effort rectify those things before I contacted him.

I see what you're saying regarding feedback extortion. I've had buyers do that to me several times. Good point about him possibly retaliating as well.

Not leaving feedback may be the best option. My biggest concern was the seller continuing to be dishonest to other buyers. He seems genuine in his apology and his other listings have since been changed so that may not be a problem in the future.

Geez. How nice can the guy be in his responses to you? And how much of a jerk could you possibly be in return? Blocked.

It's not always the sellers fault. Here's a good example for a package I mailed recently. I printed the label and put it in the drop slot on the 8th on my way home from work.

Notice when it was first scanned: October 14th - Capitol Heights, MD. My home post office never scanned it at all and neither did any other post office until it got to Maryland.

Based on your messages you sound like a real piece or work...

Whoa. Sounds like everyone is on the side of the seller. I agree my first two messages came off like a jerk and the seller was cooperative. Sounds like most believe I should leave positive feedback. That's what I will do.
