I have a small collection I'd like to move and free up some space. First question, how best to sell the collection I have? Sell them in group lots, or try and break them up and sell them one at a time? I know these are from the "junk area" as we say in sport card collecting. Does it look like I have anything of real value here? Maybe being that I have every issue is some runs, I don't know? I guess I could go through eBay and look up completed sales of all the issues. That would take some time though. Your thoughts would be of great help. This is what I have.

Batman Legends of the Dark Knight #1-155 (four different color covers for #1) and Annual #1-7

Batman Gotham Knights #2

Shadow of the Bat #4 Oct 1986

Batman 404-407, 413, 421, 446, 468-637, 666-677
and Annual # 20, 22

Batman #1 Oct, 1997

Showcase 94 #11

Robin #14

Batman Dark Victory #1-13 plus #0

Detective comics 575-578, 833-844

Walking Dead #100 five different covers

Walking Dead (3 or 4 comics in one) 1-19

Spider Man #239, 540-551

Sounds like a decent lot. I don't know Batman, so I don't know if you have anything valuable in those runs. These guys here will tell you.

Now is a great time to sell for those WD 100s. FOR you to get the most, I'd say sell them individually.

The trades won't be tough to sell because there are always new readers flocking to WD, but I don't know if there is much value in them.

Thanks for the info. I'll check eBay on those.

Batman 404-407 is the Frank Miller Year One story. If they're in Mint, they can net you a good price. #666 is first Damian Wayne as Batman and could return $10-20. Batman #1 has cooled off a bit- $50-75 maybe.

If it were me, I'd sell them in small lots.

Batman #635 is probably your best book in the lot.

Batman #608-619 is the Hush storyline. As a complete run has decent value. If your #608 is by chance the Jim Lee 2nd Printing variant, that is worth decent money. Even if not the run as a whole is good. Also one of the best Batman stories. Ever.

Batman 570 is Harley Quinn introduced into the continuity of the DC Universe. (actually 2nd app. after the Alex Ross One Shot.

I made some scans of some of the titles listed above, would I be better off grading the key titles? They look minty to my eye, the Batman 635 has some PD along the left spine (not paper loss or glue residue). Or should I just avoid the hassle and leave raw and sell that way? Thanks for the help.

It's much easier to sell graded books, and no argumentafter the fact to try and get a partial refund, but...
1) It's not cheap to grade books. You are talking $18 each plus shipping and fees
2) It takes time to grade books. About 4 months for modern track, add $10 per book to speed that up.

Personally I think there is risk with the WD books. They are hot NOW. The time to send them in for grading was around the end of last season.

The Batman keys will only appreciate, if they are 9.6/9.8 copies then they are probably worth subbing. you might want to contact Indy. IT will cost you a little more (honestly, not much based on his recentlyrics issued price list) but he will give them a look over and can offer to press books that will benefit grade-wise. Granted, the pressing will cost money also, but the difference between a 9.4 and a 9.8 is going to far exceed what he charges for a press.

I'm looking to catch up on some Walking Dead reading so if you're interested in moving those trades, let me know. Good luck with the sale!
