So I try to stay off eBay cause I end up spending money I don't need to. The other night I bought 5 cards with the sole purpose of sending to COMC. Seems like someone could make some good money if they had the funds to tie up. Nothing high end I'm looking at cards $20 or less. Nothing to quit your job over just for fun. Does anyone have success doing this? Especially when you find a seller with a really good combine shipping rate
I'm sure a lot of you do I didn't see any threads specifically talking about buying on ebay for COMC so I thought I'd see what kind of success members have had with this

I think you might do better going the other way. the flip success thread is weighted toward people who are buying on comc (as opposed to sending in cards bought elsewhere) but there are numerous examples in that thread of people taking delivery of comc cards and moving them on ebay for substantially more. that is, if you believe them...

Well, it's best to buy card lots to split up when sending to COMC. Some people even buy complete sets from topps.com and send the entire set to COMC. You no longer have to take delivery of cards you buy on COMC to flip on eBay, since you can now list them on eBay from COMC. That is a new thing (started this summer), but before you had to take delivery and list them yourself. Some people still will to take advantage of the higher take if you sell the card direct on eBay rather than paying the various fees for selling on eBay through COMC. Hopefully in January they'll change their fee structure for selling on both sites.

Buying a card on ebay at a good price will make you money wherever you stick it.
If you get a good enough deal, just stick it back on ebay yourself.
I bought a 30 card lot of 80s/90s rookie cards once (R Johnson, Beltran, Puckett, etc)
I paid around .66 cents per card.
I listed them on ebay for $3-5 each, sent in a PWE and made a killing.
It took me about 1-2 hours to scan and list, and about 3 minutes to package each card after I sold it. For me, worth the time. I rather not pay to ship to COMC, pay .25 per card to list, pay storage fees so they can sit with 60 other copies, just to be undercut in pricing every 3 days.

I used to buy on Ebay to sell on COMC and now I've started doing it in reverse. I love COMC but the fees are just too damn high.

I've had mixed success doing the eBay to COMC, tried it again in the last month and waiting to see how those cards will do

Once you get the hang of things and are on COMC for long enough you find out that things do work both ways. There are cards on COMC that need to be shipped and relisted on ebay. And there are cards on ebay that will do much better on COMC. You can't really narrow it down to one thing, you just have to get a feel for things over time.
