Terrible call by the refs to negate OT. Said the clock should have struck 0.
What a joke. Never seen anything like that before.
Replay is ruining end game play. Terrible. This replay trend is driving me nuts.

I mean why penalize the raps for the crew not starting the clock at the right time? If they had started the clock as soon as Cousins tips the ball, Ross may have taken the shot quicker, players would have reacted differently.

This is the worst called game I have been in awhile...

It didn't even look like they started the clock late. Right after DC tipped it, the clock started. The clock literally started ticking down before Ross even got the ball in his hands. Bad call.

1 - humans aren't robots. They make mistakes just like you and everyone else, myself included
2 - the other option here is to make the ball have touch sensors and the players wear outfits detecting when the ball is grazed by an opponent.
3 - I guarantee there were missed calls for and against both teams.

4 - I had the kings ML for a small amount :D

Just watched the play. I'd be pissed if I were a Raptors fan. That game should have gone to OT.

Didn't the ball graze the defenders hand on the inbound? If so, I think it's the correct call given the error by the clock guys. Still sucks for Toronto.

Tough call. Ross releases the ball with .5 left on the clock. If that was the difference between Cousins touching the ball and the clock starting, then they have a case. Too close to call in my opinion, should've been OT.

And yeah, there's been plenty of times where they start the clock much later than the player touches the ball.

This is why the shot didn't count. The clock should have started when it was deflected by cousins. I was at this game and it was the right call to make.

The clock should have started but it did not, and it altered how the players would have played IF the clock was properly started.

It is the right call? The right call is to replay the 2.4 seconds again and make sure the clock starter do their damn job.

Ive ranted about this before and I understand most don't agree but I like the human element of officials. I believe it is against the nature of the game to dissect the rules using video. Leave it up to the ref in live time like the game is meant to be called and the way the game is called except at the highest levels. I will deal with a bad call here and there to avoid this replay crap. It ruins the flow of a game and it is so anticlimactic in cases like tonight. Would have been a fun overtime.

Yes its not a big deal and I guess we have to try and be 100% correct all the time but maybe its not such a big deal if the refs are wrong every once in awhile. I like these "the ref blew it" conversations.

P.S. The runner coming of the bag sliding into 2nd base replay in baseball is retarded.

P.S.S. how the heck did they decide it was .5 seconds from the ball being touched to the clock starting. Absurd. I get what they were thinking but common man way to close to overturn the live call.

Just saw the play and my thoughts exactly

The worst part about the whole mess is even with the timer slip up - Ross still got the shot off in time.

That was BS, and I don't even care for the Raptors.

The clock started before the ball even hit the floor after the Cousins tip. Maybe a couple extra tenths should have went off?
