So what are all the "hip" kids doing these days?

For myself, I browse ebay and these forums often. I'll visit my LCS a few times a year and pick up a few random singles or a box. But that's about it. I drop in on a few blogs, but most of the blogs out there are either promotional, more focused on an individual's collection, or are simply scans of random cards - few seem to offer substantial commentary on the hobby.

I do see things occasionally on Instagram or Facebook, but I haven't really explored the social media aspect of the hobby. Anyone have any assessments or breakdowns of what usually goes on hobby-wise with:

- Twitter
- Instagram
- Facebook
- YouTube
- Snapchat?

Starting to feel like an old dude.

InstaFaceTwit confuses me.

I stick to watching YouTube videos to get my fix.

I have pretty much stopped ebay and almost get everything I purchase from facebook groups at this point

Just wondering, what blogs do you look at?

BustingPacks was a fun one, looks like it's down? I'm getting an error.

The standard ones: SportsCardsUncensored, CardboardConnection, SportsCardNews, and a few others. I've got a little blogroll in my bookmarks that I bounce around with. Thinking about starting up one of my own - maybe as an outlet for the "serious" research I'll be doing once grad school starts back up in the fall for me. I'll be digging around in all the archives and databases anyways, why not do a few searches on the history/philosophy of sports and hobbies and such?

Love SportsCardsUncensored!

Just wondering, has anyone seen any card things on Sportsblog.com? I would think as it is a Sports Blog site and, well, Sports Cards

No problem. Sorry some members give you shiz, your blog and Sensei's (bustingpacks) were the first two blogs I found when I got back into the hobby. Ebay and Blowout have mostly supplanted the blogs and seller sites I used to browse, but when I do peruse the ol' blogosphere yours is one I start with.

I believe overall one may have a better chance at selling, trading or buying on Facebook. Might be very similar and close to here though? There are plenty of ordinary hobby folks messing around in Facebook card groups. Buying tons of retail products and posting the results. You definitely see a broad spectrum of things and likewise the general card chat expands quite wide on there too. Don't have much experience with the other mediums.

Instagram is great because it has pictures! Some people forget that we like to look at cards. There are about a MILLION groups you can buy and trade on FB. I am in quite a few and they sell stuff REALLY cheap. Some is junk but there are some buried treasures on there. I like to look at as much as I can since I do not get much trading/buying on this site.
