I was just wondering if anyone does this. If so, how much can you make a month? I'm thinking that you'd do better online but I've been surprised before. Thanks!

I have done that in the past. I did that until I started doing shows. You know, I still think for the right items, you are better in that situation than in a show.

Depends on the consignment/rental fee and the amount of traffic they get. I rented a glass case in an antique mall for $80/month on Hwy 98 near Pensacola and sold about $120/month in items. So I was losing 67% in fees per dollar sold.
I am currently selling about $60/mo on a straight consignment of 40% at an antique mall in Fort Walton Beach. But I'd rather take home $35 on sales of $60 than be in the negative. Depends on the rate you can negotiate and how you price your cards to sell.

I know it all depends on your inventory as well. I know that local stars' relics and autos will do better than just random numbered base cards for example. I just never see tons of foot traffic and am wondering if the LCS is fading away a bit.

Well, for the stock I'm selling in FWB, I bought a ton of $3-5 Hall of Famer cards on COMC like Ernie Banks, Ted Williams, Bob Gibson, Pete Rose, Yaz, Hank Aaron, etc, plus $1-2 auto/jersey cards and I marked them anywhere from $5-15 each. Plus some Hall of Famer autographs that have similar autographs. I figure I'll get people buying gifts for their family or rounding out their own collection with oddball pieces (stamps, Milton Bradley game pieces, and such).

Seems like a good way for a card store to offset rent cost, plus earn a commission on cards sold.
