I am curious to other members experiences or past issues when it comes to online group breaks and issues that arise.
my current situation is that I bought into a Impeccable break with the patriots and a Brady 1/1 cyan printing plate was pulled which I was super happy with obviously. Fast forward to today, went to pick up the mail at the post office and opened box from the breaking company and they had sent me a baseball card from a break I never bought into ever with my name but wrong break info. I know accidents happen but am curious what my best options are. I contacted the breaker and they said they would review the video and contact me via email once they figured out what happened. So I guess my question is should I just keep an eye out on ebay? and if the card does pop up don't I legally own the card if somebody is trying to sell it online? I know there's probably not much I can do and am screwed in this instance but I have the youtube video of the break along with my receipt from the break with the order and shipping info clearly stated. I would hope that I get a refund at least but damn it would be nice to be compensated the value of the card lost should they not be able to track it down. Fingers crossed that it ended up with somebody honest who agrees to send it back. Thoughts and opinions from other members. Not trying to cry too much, but curious how some seasoned veteran collectors would proceed at this point if they were in my shoes. I not talking about legal action or anything crazy just best path and odds of a decent resolution. Thanks again

Please pm me the name of the breaker. I just had a very similar thing happen.

I'd be curious who the breaker is too, as I've had a similar experience, and there are a few I now avoid, but most are pretty good. I would think it's an honest mistake of wrong break got in wrong envelope.
I'd definetly keep an eye on Ebay to see if it pops up. But if it ends up having been sent to someone else by mistake, hopefully they realize it too.

I've had a similar thing happen. I revived a few cards by mistake rpa's of Kelvin benjamin. I notified breaker and sent them directly to the rightful owner. Hope you get your card

I was scammed in a way similar to this. Not a break, but rather a trade gone wrong. The scammer claimed he mixed up packages and sent my card to the wrong place. Conveniently he "sold" the card I sent to him so I didn't have that option of getting it back.
So, I think this is a legitimate scam tactic.
Btw, if you ever see a 2013 Le'Veon Bell Black Refractor RC auto 18/25 it is stolen property.

Give the breaker a chance to figure it out. Mistakes happen but any good breaker will make it right for you one way or another. Value on a card like that is easy enough to figure.

Yes my thoughts exactly. after further review of their youtube videos it appears there was a serious error in the randomized list. Don't know if the breaker copy and paste the wrong list or what. There were 161 entries for the topps transcendents list and 10 random. I was NOT part of any random nor purchased a random. After watching the hour long video and the very end where they random the hits to entries it is clear that there are issues. I don't follow baseball at all but have heard the value of a case of transcendents is astronomical. so if you look at the initial entry list prior to the random vs after it was randomed it doesn't look right to me at all. First I did not see my name in the initial list until after the randomizer, also my user name in all breaks has always been all CAPS so i could find it and verify easier prior to break. well in this supposed break there's a ^ next to it. Not sure how or what happened but I can say that I feel bad for the breaking company as it seems that their "random" transcendents case is no longer valid. I don't want to give out a company name at this point until I hear back from them at a minimum. For what its worth they appear to be one of the larger breakers hence the reason I figured it was a safer bet than some of the smaller guys on ebay who may not deal in volume plus I have had pretty decent pulls from the previous 2 breaks with them and no issues what so ever until now. Thanks for all your advice as I was a bit annoyed this morning but what can you really do. It doesn't appear to be a simple mailing issue on their end at this point so it may be awhile before this gets sorted out. Will let everybody know when I hear back from them and their plan of action. Thanks again and if ya see or hear of a impeccable cyan tom brady auto indelible ink printing plate please let me know. I have somebody's transcendent Clayton Kershaw non auto that will go back to the breaker to find its rightful home.

Might as well mention the breakers name now. Not gonna be hard to figure out which breaker hit the Woodrow Wilson cut from Transcendent.

Not my intention at all. I should edit that out then I suppose. Thanks and I only brought it up due to the fact that to some a Brady auto would pale in comparison in terms of value. Personally I don't follow baseball but will edit my post as not to point blame or cause issue before I have heard back from the company.

I know the break company that you're speaking of. I have done breaks with them in the past. They will certainly make things right for you. Hopefully, if it's just the case of shipping it to the wrong participant, the person will contact them and get your email address. I buy into a ton of breaks and have been on either end of this error. I have always done the right thing and everyone who's received my cards has done the right thing. I hope, for your sake, that the issue is resolved quickly!

Thanks Randy, I am hoping so also. I took a decade or two absence from collecting cards until recently. Everybody I have come across on this forum especially seems to appear very much about being stand up and doing the right thing whether its sales or trades, etc so can only hope that extends into the breaker community. Don't get me wrong after reading some of the archives there's always bound to be a few questionable members but it seems as though they always get run off or show their true colors over time. Thanks for the info as I honestly think it was a mistake in the randomized list and cards went to where the computer told them to go. Not sure where or how many others may have had similar issue from the breaks around the same time but the breaker will be able to sort that out. Tracking numbers along with video will show my brady was pulled and the tracking info shows my Patriots purchase so fingers crossed it will resurface/ be returned. For what its worth the breaking company has always been good to me so I apologize for possibly giving out info that could identify and/or make things difficult for them. I didn't think about how easy it would be to identify based upon an autograph or card.

So who was the breaker? If they screwed up then they should make it up to you.

I know which breaker it was, I've never broken with them, but they're one of the bigger and reputable ones, I'm sure they'll do right, but surprised about the Transcendet break.

I had it happen to me in a another big breakers break. The mix up for me was the guy they sent my cards to has the same name ( first and last ) as me. Now I know there's someone with the same name.

Ok so thanks for everybody's opinions and after a few emails back and forth with the breaker its clear that I'm a huge dumba$$. So the long and short of it goes like this:
Majority of this confusion falls on me as I didn't listen to the break video clearly or missed the beginning part altogether somehow. For what its worth and those of you whom haven't figured out the breaker yet just let me say, hands down there customer service at least in my experience is hands down bar none the best I have come across. Yes while still barely not a group break virgin I have tried quite a few different breakers and I have to say between their patience and understanding I will be a repeat customer with them for as long as the wife lets me keep an allowance to spend freely. Kudos to the breaker for actually taking the time to email and attempt to contact me via facebook to help figure out where things may have been incorrect. They even went to the trouble to send me a msg via ebay which my wife checks to make sure I'm not over indulging in sports related purchases, so when I had to work late after being gone for the weekend (self employed) they were more than happy to go the extra distance to make sure a resolution was reached.
Now the fun part, I apologize as I said before because I completely missed the part of the break where they did indeed random 10 spots to participants from other breaks and even explained to me that is the reason I wasn't charged along with the card that I did receive is what it should have been. I will say that considering they have a decent sized business to run and break all day long it was pretty cool that they took the time to help me see what I had missed and how if anything on their end a shipping mislabel is the only real issue that could be found. They even sent me updated tracking numbers via email which I got after work that day. Needless to say my Brady that I was worried would be lost found its way as they said it would today to the post office as I picked it up before posting this update.
I would like to thank all the members who despite the fact that I'm a moron, took time to respond with their ideas and helpful tips. Like those who said they are aware of the breakers identity and to just wait it out as the company will make good on it, thanks again as I really hoped for a best case outcome and as it turns out I was the one who didn't pay enough attention.
Thanks again everybody. happy holidays

That's good to hear. So basically you got a free spot in Transcendent, right? So what's up with the printing plate? That confuses me.

Brady was what I was expecting earlier but received the transcendent card with tracking info attached to the Brady order info. As it turns out yes received the Clayton kershaw from a randomed transcendent spot that I was not aware I had gotten. I don't collect baseball so thought that the Brady I was expecting had been shipped out incorrectly to somebody else. I was wrong and it arrived today in the mail. Sorry for the confusion.

Glad to hear it worked out. So which breaker was it?
Why the secrecy of not naming them? You paid them a huge compliment. Might as well name them and give them the reward of all their hard work and good customer service.
