View Full Version : How long for a refund from COMC?

Was curious to see what others have experienced as far as having to send back cards to COMC, because they weren't in as good a condition as stated (i.e. no condition notes, and the card has a major scratch or dinged corner.)

I have only done this once before, and I received it rather promptly. I recently had to send about 5 cards back...and they received it on Nov. 14th. However, I have emailed and called, and it is now Dec. 21st and there is still no refund (and one card is quite a larger amount).

I believe I have waited patiently, even allowing for them being swamped a bit with Black Friday...but this is going on 5 weeks now. Anyone experience a problem in receiving a refund back from them? I honestly thought I would have it before Black Friday, so I could spend it back on the site. I am quite shocked that for just 5 cards, with item #'s and a shipment number given to them....is now almost going into 2017 without anything happening.

In over 6 years of buying from them I have had only 3 orders with issues. One order had an extra card in it and a order that was missing a card. The third order had 4 cards that was missed labeled or they sent the wrong cards (order glossy cards and received base).

I called them and the next day I received credit and did not have to send back the cards. But I'm talking about less then $25.00 total.

(hi-lights by me)

That may be your problem right there...if it was only a few cards, it was probably put aside in the rush and promptly forgotten about. I'd bet it's right where someone put it, with the intention of processing it when things got quieter and it hasn't been seen since. Just keep harassing their customer service until you get your money back...good luck.

And, remember, it could be worse...I remember there were some people who sent cards back to be refunded, and ended up having it treated as a new transaction with the cards added to their ports. :coffee:

Sigh...I will try and call again today. I really don't understand why this can't be done by now. I actually spoke to a customer rep, who was nice I will say, but he actually went upstairs and saw the cards and told me they were there, but since they were from separate purchases initially, it takes longer to do? That was well over a week and a half ago. This is after an email about 3 to 4 weeks ago, that basically said they were busy and once it slowed down they would get to it (essentially what you just said.) Thanks for the info Moe.
