I wasn't certain where to post this but since most of the items in the box seem to be baseball I went with this section, if this isn't the correct section I am sorry.
I was contacted by someone through my blog asking for some help identifying a box his friend has and is trying to sell. I am guessing that it is one of those "Late Night Specials" that were sold by somebody like Don West on QVC. I told him that I would look in to what I could find out and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the picture the guy sent me:

I found one that was part of a lot auction at Mears Auction but they only list it as a minor league factory set in the lot details, it is on the left of the picture.

I have already responded to him about the box, explaining the Junk Wax era and the box damage doesn't help, hoping to get him to understand that "$399.99 Value" sticker is not realistic. I asked him to check inside to see what has water damage and to let me know if the cards are packs, boxes or random loose cards and I also asked if he has checked to see which autographed ball he has and what condition it is in.
I am not really a book value person but I think that is what he is looking for, I know I could have pointed him to eBay and told him to do his homework but I would like to help where I can.
