I don't imagine I will get the card. A Terrell Owens/Tony Gonzalez Prime Jersey card /25...that went for only $3.25...should have went closer to $10.

My buying date was the 1st and delivery date was the 14th (I think...it doesnt show me now.) So sent a message through ebay sunday night and got the following yesterday, kinda long and somewhat strange response.

Seller: "Hi and good morning. I just reviewed your Open Case for the item that you have yet to receive. I apologize for an inconveniences, as this is the first that I am hearing of this through a case you have opened. I did check my messages and this is the first time that I am being made aware of this issue. I did check with my Post Office this morning and they do not have your envelope. I reviewed the message that I sent you on January 4th, 2017 letting you know that I had mailed out your card and reviewed the attached picture of your envelope as well. I was able to confirm that I did write the same address on the envelop as provided on eBay. I was also able to confirm with the Post Office that this is a good address. My local Post Office suggests that you contact your local Post Office as well. Thanks again and good luck!"

Me: "So your saying, you don't have a tracking number or the receipt? I find it strange you have a database with images of items packaged....but don't save receipts, and that you checked with the post office on my address....on Martin Luther King day, when post offices are closed. Please, just send the card or a refund."

Not aware of any message the seller claims to have sent....and not sure why anyone would do such, send photo of package. Again, don't imagine I will get the card, and understand there is nothing I could do about that. But figured making this thread, might discourage other sellers from doing the same in the future.

leave a NEGATIVE feedback.

Seller obviously wasn't happy with the price. Never shipped. All bubble envelopes come with tracking and if this seller uses paypal shipping you would've had the tracking# once he printed label.

I am pretty sure the system will not let me leave feedback when all is said and done. They cancel the transaction...so there is no feedback to leave.

My only hope from this thread is it discourages other sellers from such, knowing the buyer might also make a thread on you. A thread that will/might come up on google searches.

Correct, a cancellation is a mutual decision between buyer and seller. I have zero tolerance for shady people on eBay so this is how I handle a situation like this...
1. Open a case
2. Talk to customer service and let them know that you are not accepting an order cancellation because that would imply you are ok with the resolution (but you would prefer to leave him negative feedback since he backed out of deal)
3. Let the case play out
4. eBay rules in your favor and you leave negative feedback and get your refund

Had something similar happen with a different seller he posted a Hudson Potts bowman auto for .99 plus $2 shipping with buy it now...I buy it and pay for it right away..he messaged me saying it was a mistake that he wanted to post it for auction...I tell him that's fine just refund me ..had to open a case then I got the card at the last day of the case being open ...soo maybe he will do something similar to u

That is not true, if you win the case you can leave any feedback. There are only 3 times feedback gets blocked automatically. The buyer never pays and is given a strike, the seller wins a claim made by the buyer or the seller or item is removed from Ebay. There are other situations where it could be removable, but this is not one of them. UNLESS in your emails you mentioned anything about feedback.

Even mutually canceling an item does not block feedback.

The seller shipped for $1 so I am guessing it was a PWE, sending a 3 oz. padded mailer with free tracking info costs $2.60 using eBay's shipping.

But, I am with everyone on this here. File a claim and leave negative response. It may be tough because he can claim he shipped it in an envelope using stamps so he doesn't have a receipt or tracking info.

Nothing tough about it. If you cannot prove it was delievered a seller loses 100% of the time. Most sellers like myself who ship PWE know this and just refund when a buyer states they did not get it.

Thanks for your thoughts all.

I guess I just found his reply a little strange, that he checked with the post office on Martin Luther King day, that I should check with my post office with basically no information, and all. I would hate to be that postal worker.

It is several days past the ebay delivery date, but I will wait a week to see if it shows up. I am usually really patient and hope I wasn't shooting fish in a barrow with this thread...or whatever other phrase you can come up that is more fitting.
