Curious which you guys would open.
Looking for something different to occupy some time as opposed to the usual 1 pack per box stuff.
2014 is $399, 15 and 16 are $449 for 12 box cases.
Which one do you guys feel could have the best value for the price?

I've been busting cases of each. I prefer the 2015 Update myself. Nice 400 card set with better rc. That said, I hit a ssp Rizzo variation from 2016 that sold for crazy money so that's not a bad choice either.

I just opened some 2014 not that long ago. Has a couple good rookies but not near the class that 2015 has. I would do '15 and if you come out ahead try some 2016 too.

2015's definitely got the best rookie checklist IMO.

I'm partial to 2014 because that's when MN hosted the ASG. That said, '14 also has RCs of Betts, Springer, deGrom, and Odor. Doesn't quite match up with the class of Buxton, Lindor, Syndergaard, Correa, and more from 2015, but still solid

15 hands down the rookie class is nice. The 16 tempts me because of how high some ssp's sell

The 2015 Mega Boxes aren't too shabby either though.

Actually, the Update cards have the rookie card logo so I'm pretty sure they would be considered rookies.

Yea, no arguing that! Lol

Only the base rookie tends to ultimately have value. The last time I looked into it, Bryce Harper "Rookie Debut" cards were maybe worth $2 - complete with RC logo.
Bryant's Topps rookie card is in 2015 Series Two.
As for the question in the OP - there is also the option not to open. Check out the price of unopened 2011 Update - or 2015 Series 2. Not an option I could personally take however; I would rip it, and am looking forward to ripping one more box of 14 Update to finish out side collections and gamble on pulling a Betts RC parallel. Plus those '89 mini die-cuts have been growing on me. Or maybe I should do the same with a bit more 2015 before it starts to go back up in price, hmmmm
Oh and if anyone rips any '15 Series Two, I would be in the market for some of the left-over results as I don't expect that will be a cheap rip ever again. But I need a fair amount of that Series still.
