Had to brag and post this picture... It took me since 2011 to put this together and get it framed. This is the full set of 2011 Allen & Ginter states...

That's awesome. That was something I was debating doing when it first came out, really glad I decided not to!

That's awesome! I had a Ginter case where 4 of the boxes had one of those as a box topper(those boxes had a big lump in the top). My LCS sold them on ebay and all 4 went to a collector in Russia! If memory serves, didn't the Mass. state have a piece of the Green Monster in it?

Yes it does... Some other really cool relics in other states too. A lot of Civil War memorabilia in the Southern states.

How rare are the cards?
Relatively rare. If you tried putting together the whole map now, you most likely would not be able to do it. This was the culmination to an effort that took several years...

How rare are the cards?
I thought that most typically went for around $50.

There's another complete map on ebay right now for $6K BIN.

That is so cool, I was wondering if anyone had tried to put the map together. They are so difficult to come across and I am only looking for two states (Washington and Arizona) at a reasonable price.

Nice work, I love how you framed it.

Nice work, I love how you framed it.
Thank you... Took it a local woodcarver who designed the framing. Definitely feel like it adds to the Americana theme.

2011 was one of the weaker years for ginter and now that redemptions are expired many state pieces will rot in unopened cases.
Beautiful set. Congrats

Thanks everyone, appreciate the compliments. It was definitely a rewarding experience to have this come out as nicely as it did - as collectors you all know better than anyone how much dedication goes into this hobby!

Heck of an accomplishment. Here's one on eBay for $4000 OBO without any framing, but great pictures to look at the cards.

As a person who enjoys puzzles, I love this. I'm going after the monumental logos set in basketball and it's definitely taken awhile. I'll have completed 4 out of 15 sets by this weekend.
Congratulations, it's nice to see someone collect a little bit of an oddity in the baseball card world and not focus on the autographs and jersey pieces.

I think 2011 was a great ginter year! Many good autos in it and one of
The better designs.
At national I believe Topps had a prize if
Anyone completed the puzzle back then. I recall
Someone did. Has to be be only a couple complete ones that exist. Always love the oddball stuff in ginter.

How did you secure the pieces?

Such a cool thing - congratulations! I do think we have A&G to thank for making non baseball items like this collectible. 10 years ago, I would have been scratching my head, but now I look at think "very cool!"

Wow, that's amazing, nice work. I was looking for the Michigan one for a couple of years before I was able to find one to buy!

Gradually, one-by-one, over the course of the last several years. It was not easy, as I'm sure you know. There are probably only about 10 (or less) completed maps...

I meant to the board:)! Should have been more clear
They dried up quickly after the first year. I searched Ebay every day until the last pieces were purchased

That's so amazing!! Now what, currency?
I know someone that's looking for Alaska to complete their A&G map and needs six more Currencies to complete that one as well.

I was looking to put this set together several years ago but I was only able to get about 20-25 of the cards. I was never able to find others.
Is anyone aware of a full set? There was one on the Blowout eBay Store for awhile but I don't see it listed anymore.

They pop up but as you might imagine they go into permanent collections and very rarely come out. People keep their home/favorite states, just as neat items separate from baseball collections. I was at a show once and a guy said he sent his mom a Texas one in a frame, a reminder of home while living up north. So that's one that will probably never come back to the market. When a full set comes up, you know it was a tough choice by the seller.

Yeah, I've been trying to find Iowa (my birthplace) for years and have never even sniffed one.
It was easier to find the vintage Ginter Iowa state flag and state capitol cards than it has been to find this one...

If a full set ever appears again I'll definitely have to purchase it. I've always loved geography and maps since I was a kid- my goal was to get to all 50 states. I had been out of the hobby for a few years and didn't get back into it until 2012. As soon as I heard about the set I started buying up every state I saw- but after 4 years was still about 10 states short.
