2 names that come to mind are Nick Van Exel and Manu. Not sure if Manu was drafted or was a FA signing? Anyways, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts...

Most of the great ones have been mentioned, but I have to add Rashard Lewis and Cliff Robinson. I'm also disregarding players from older drafts when there were a lot more rounds.

PG - Nate Archibald
SG - Hal Greer
SF - Alex English
PF - Dennis Rodman
C - Willis Reed
This is cheating a bit since there were so much less teams in the past that good/great players can easily go to the second round.

Middleton was 2nd round?
Wow, So the Bucks picked him, the Greek Freak out of a horrific draft, and now Brogdon at #36 this year. Someone is doing an amazing job for them.

If it's a 2nd round pick, Manu has to be on the team.
How about undrafted players? Ben Wallace gets a spot on that team IMO.

My team was about current talent. Manu is a hall of famer! But I don't think who he is as of today makes the starting 5.

Agreed! Speculating about this year's draft class, maybe Malcolm Brogdon or Ivica Zubac have a chance to someday make the list..

I was thinking this was all time myself. Current levels make it a different ball game for sure. Rodman was featured on celebrity rehab haha!

Yeah. Lots of ways to look at the list. It's all good. Manu might be the best second round pick of all time btw. Second to last pick in the draft, right? And how many of those SA titles do they NOT win without him?
Plus one of the best international players ever.

No love for the Jokness Monster?
Nikola Jokić is soon to be the franchise player of the Nuggets (if he isn't already).

Jok has had a meteoric ascension to stardom this season. He wasn't even the starting center at the beginning on the season. It was probably 8 or 10 games in before he took Nurkić's spot in the starting 5.

Lots of good ones mentioned so far.
One's I don't think I've seen yet (current players) Jae Crowder, Patty Mills, Danny Green, Chandler Parsons.
Danny Green and Mills came from the same draft and are two of the most important players on arguably the best team since that draft. I don't think the Spurs drafted both though.

well it was a weird situation and Malone didn't handle it too well. He was starting at the end of last season when Nurk was injured, then Nurk was healthy to start the year so they started in a twin-towers kind of scenario, and it took Jokic telling his coach that it wasn't working for him to change it up [Jokic offered to come off the bench] -- so that's even more fuel to the fire that is Jokic's BBIQ. He's an absolute stud
