I don't mind the design. They typically do a nice job taking an otherwise plain auto on a piece of paper and making it look nice. I just don't want to hit a Mariano as my big hit. Nearly all the other Gold Autos are awesome.

Can you imagine dropping a couple hundo on this and getting a non logo'd non picture Pete rose 'cut' auto. That would hurt ..a lot. 10 years ago not so much..but now when you can buy the Leaf blasters w a guaranteed auto for $7-$10 now...yikes

King should hire Mouschi asap. I could photoshop up that same design in an hour or two tops.

Kings Gold logo is definitely an Adobe job. 100%. I even have that gold overlay shimmer saved. But mines better.

Maybe I'm missing something here. I'm not familiar with Historic Autographs cards, but is this a mock-up design? The loop in the letter "g" is overhanging onto the cut autograph piece...:confused:

Certainly not the best looking cards I've ever seen but far from the worst. Besides, Ruth could have signed a piece of poo and I'd be happy to own it. The same can be said for a few others on the CL too.

GREAT CATCH! Also the all black background is clear evidence of amateur photoshop.

What I honestly believe this is "mock-up" or not - is someone took the cut Ruth and built the frame around it very haphazardly (the overhanging g, all black background, etc.).
