Another Nasty Ebay Surprise...

not really just ebay, but i just found out that the shipping prices have gone up again. it kind of just sickens me at first, and then acceptance sets in, it never goes up that much, its just so annoying when it does. especially for bigger and heavier stuff. it instantly makes you look back at the previous prices as the good old days, never to be seen again, even though it was yesterday or within a couple days. ughhhh.

lol, small flat rate priority box is now over 7 dollars, probably going to hit 10 bucks before long

one penny raise for 1st class under 4oz and it's not ebay's fault. there are about 4 other threads regarding this going back a few months as well as the ebay notification about it.

Knew of the increase a while ago but it's weird to think that just 3 years ago, postage for up to 3oz was $1.69 and would only charge $1.69 for shipping/handling on ebay since this was before ebay took away 10%.

the shipping raise has nothing to do with ebay, thats just what effects us most on this site, i would think. and ebay has always had final value fees, they just continuously go up.

One change that is key is that they went back to charging different prices at every ounce.
It had been the same price for any of 3-8 ounces for the past year or so. I had gotten used to just putting 8 ounces for everything since it was the same price so make sure you put the lower weight now if you have a light package!

Blame USPS. They keep hiking up the prices, yet seem to have more late deliveries, missing scans, and lost packages than ever. Helluva business plan.
