Socks..We Have a Friend that Was deployed in Afganistan. He needed socks the most. And things that are from Home. Cookies and such. But throwing in a couple of packs would also be good.

It definitely helped my morale to bust open a few packs. But with the conditions there, they were difficult to maintain since you always found sand and dust everywhere. I put them in a snap case, wrapped it in a towel and still found a solid layer of dust build-up. Great gesture Moe!

I had a few slide boxes (like 200-250 count) that all mine were in.
If he hasn't opened cards in a long time that prob isn't the best place to do it truthfully
Ask of he has any gaming systems and if so what games he is wanting to play. Some people dont have black ops over there yet (I sent 3 new copies to a few of the mwr centers over there about a week ago for the holdiays)

Other stuff we enjoy getting:
Socks
Baby wipes
Jerkey (the good stuff nothing too cheap lol)
Thumbdrives (they are great little gifts now that they are even cheaper)
And pretty much anything chocolate since it's not as hot now and will not melt as much as in the summer

People like you make our descison to serve feel like the best choice ever

I can't mention competitors names on the forums, but there is a guy on youtube that opens boxes on video and ships to the armed forces all the time.

If you want a great gift idea that isn't cards, my brother-in-law who was deployed to Afghanistan said he needed AA Batteries the most while he was there.

These batteries are ones guys need allot too, most all rail mount lights are sure fire and these aren't easy to come buy.

BEEF JERKEY!!!

I always looked forward to packages just for the beef jerkey, and baby wipes and hand sanitizer will always come in handy. We would be out on a patrol and I would cool myself down for 5 seconds by wiping hand sanitizer on my face. Felt great! :)!
