My dream card is now in my possession!

I'm so damn excited!!!!

So some of you may have seen this thread that I posted last week

I made the thread just wanting to see some awesome cards and to let people put their dreams out into the ether, and then who knows what happens from there. I wasn't actually expecting for that thread to lead to ME finding any of MY dream cards, but damn was I wrong. The same day I posted the thread I got a PM from camthespursfan saying that he had one of the cards I posted and wanted to work out a deal. After a few days of exchanging messages, we came to an agreement on a paypal+cards deal where I'd send Cam some cash and a couple cards from my Pacers collection. Well, today I got my end of the deal and I am over the damn moon about it. I honestly never thought I'd own this card. Back when I was collecting this guy during his rise to All-Star status, this card used to sell for $500-700 at its peak and then settled around $400 back around 2014 (which was the last time I saw one for sale).

Without any further rambling, I present what was FORMERLY my #1 dream card but now my favorite freaking card I own....

Definitely not me. If I'm buying something to sell it I make that known. And this thing isn't going anywhere unless I have a life altering financial crisis and I HAVE TO sell.

In terms of RPA's I think it's THE BEST year for Exquisite. The texturing in that foil area is amazing and so intricate. It pops even more with these jersey #'d parallels and the holofoil.

Me too! And yeah, Granger is definitely being forgotten about already. He'll be one of those guys that people outside of Indiana rarely think about from this era, but was a damn good player for a bit. Damn injuries robbed us Pacers fans of prime Granger and Paul George. That could have been one hell of a 1-2 punch. I've never had the budget to pay the kind of prices this used to go for. I keep myself on a pretty tight "low-end" budget with cards. I'm very happy with the price I paid for it. Thanks again to Cam for reaching out to me and making this deal happen.

I remember you posting that CJ recently. They're truly beautiful. I've got a Travis Diener /34 as well. Got it a year or so ago for like $15 dlvd, which is a steal IMO. Any of these cards, regardless of player, should never sell for less than $15.

Cam also threw this card in for free because it has some pretty rough corners. I used to own one of these back in the day. I think it may have even been the first patch auto card I bought when I got back into collecting back in 05-06.

That is awesome - congrats!! I was a pretty big Granger collector for a long time before I downsized most of my collection. I never was able to nab that parallel.

I still have some of his cards, hit me up if you might be interested in them. Would rather an active collector has them then they just gather dust with me :)

I honestly never thought I'd own a copy. It actually came in a BGS 9 slab but the slab was severely damaged so I liberated the card. It looks so much nicer in a one-touch. I wish my scanner could adequately scan cards inside of their cases without it looking all cloudy.
