Hi guys, I need your help.

So on Dec 5th last year I sold this $200 kobe card to this guy, I shipped it with tracking + Sig confirmation but I forgot to attach the tracking number on ebay.

In late January the buyer messages me and says he never received the card and files a case on Ebay + wants a refund, he then asks me if i have a tracking number (since he prob didn't see one on ebay, at this time i realized i forgot to attach it and attaches it right away + send him info) then i said yes i sent him the tracking number and i said according to the tracking it says its been sitting at the post office since Dec 15.... go pick it up? I also sent him a phot of the tracking number on the package with his name on it...

Then buyer suddenly becomes really flakey and hardly responds, about 1.5 weeks later he messages again and says he still hasn't received it and is trying to work something out with the post office?

Whats the deal with this is it buyer's remorse? I checked the tracking and it says it still hasn't been picked up. Its been over 60 days since the sale on ebay...

what do i do? Do i get the card back and will the post office get it shipped back to me if he doesn't pick it up? Will ebay honor him even though it clearly says it arrived but he hasn't picked up?

Anyone who has been in this position or know anything please let me know.

Thanks!!

My postman doesn't tell me when I have packages I need to come to post office for. He legit ignores them every time. If someone unexpectedly ask for sig confirmation and no tracking, I never even know about the card... And if you don't pick it up in like 3 weeks they normally return to sender. Multiple times I've had items returned to Europe before I could pick up bc no one left me a message that I needed to pick up. Incredibly frustrating

Also some people have jobs (like myself) that makes it nearly impossible to get to the post office from 9-5 pm on weekdays... Sig confirmation is often the kiss o death to my transactions

Post offices are open on Saturday. You can also go online and schedule re-delivery to your place of business or for a day you'll be at home. Or you can also set it up to have an agent sign for you and someone else can go pick it up. You can even sign the card and clear them to leave it in your box. However all of that is null if you're not getting the notification! 2 recommendations - Sign up for myusps so you can track everything being delivered to you. If it has a tracking number and your address on it then it will show up in your myusps so you never have to guess. Secondly - I would go down to your local PO, when you have time, and let the post master know your concerns. Let them look into it. Especially when you have tracking from myusps saying 'waiting for pickup' and no card in your box.

As for the task at hand. I would recommend calling the PO and getting it returned then refunding the buyer. I don't really know which way ebay would favor in this, but the last thing you want is for them to find for the buyer and him go and pick it up after.

Sounds more like a scam than buyer's remorse. Probably noticed that you didn't upload the tracking and tried to take advantage of that. Makes some sense too since you said his tone changed once you provided it. Could also be that he has picked it up but it wasn't scanned as being picked up so he can try to exploit that as well. Him saying he still hasn't received it yet doesn't make any sense when he has to pick it up...

Noticed you are close to Houston. Are you going to the Houston Tri-Star Show on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday?

Sounds like the buyer is trying to pull a fast one by filing the claim then after refund is sent returning to the PO to pick up the card. I would call eBay and make sure I spoke with someone on the phone and explain the situation. Since you have tracking and sig confirmation they should side with you on this case.

...then again it could be something crazy like the postman tried to deliver it to the wrong door or something, who knows

Walk around asking dealers "Are you branesergen?" Haha I'll be towards the middle, just left of the entrance. I would say look for the guy with no teeth but yeah, that narrows it down to about 10 lol Clean shaven, bald, fat guy with no teeth - that will be me! I don't know how else to describe it lol 4 display cases, some supplies, dollar type boxes. If you hear chatter of "the Peyton manning guy" or see several nice peytons in the cases, chances are it's me. Oh and I'll have a ton of BGS stuff.

I had this situation where it said some weird update status like "delivery attempted note with recipient" or something bizarre and the package never showed up and the card was never on ebay or anything shady after that. Most likely this is a post office error unless the guy legit didn't pick it up. You can call the post office and ask them if the package is still there. They are supposed to return items to sender if they are not claimed in a certain period, maybe 30 days.

man i am really upset about this. i called USPS and they said they will look into it and update me but i didn't get any updates after.

Also the tracking info disappeared and now the buyer pressed on ebay to refund them and i think because the tracking info disappeared from USPS (since its been 3 months) ebay just naturally thought it was easy to refund. now ebay has refunded the buyer the full few hundred dollars and im out a few hundred...

is this a scam?? why did tracking info disappear? does it disappear after a few months? I sent the package in Dec 2016...

Anyone know if there is anything i can do? this was my tracking number...

Don't forget to leave us the name of this turd-burglar. I block EVERYONE now who is even remotely suspicious. If you sell a $200 card and it takes them a month to say something about it not arriving (and there is no tracking) you're dealing with a freaking scammer.

Sigh, so obviously I guess u guys think he waited so long so that the tracking info disappeared and then he re-escalate the case so that if ebay is to look at it and tracking info disappeared they would easily award him the case?

Here are all the screenshots you may need to look at... and the card i lost, along with $180 US :(

how do i film postal claim?

Did you insure it? If not, you will not be able to file a claim. Also, based on the tracking you posted, usps would deny your claim stating that they delivered the item and is available for pick up.

I usually do if it's around 500 or more. If less, usually not. With all the scammers these days it's better to be safe than sorry.
