I've sold 6 cards on eBay this week. None paid immediately. 2 I had to open non-paying buyer cases on. This was after the buyer contacted me about please accepting the best offer they provided as it was for their PC. A third card I got this excuse on "I let my 4 year old daughters play with my phone" and she managed to go into eBay, find a card, hit the BIN and then confirm the purchase. The remaining 3 cards? Still waiting on payment, but it's only been 12 hours. Though one of them was instantly countering my BO and then once I accepted their last offer? Nothing.

I had adandoned eBay just for these reasons but I needed cash quick and took the risk. Silly me!

This, or waiting for payday.

If a seller wants to guarantee immediate payment just list everything as Buy It Now and choose the "require immediate payment" option when creating the listing.

Don't take it too seriously, it's just cardboard.

Well you can say the same thing about literally anything valuable. Dont take it so seriously, its just green printed on cotton-fiber blend paper!

That's really annoying. I sold 4 cards this week and 3 they took 3 days and two messages each from me asking them to pay. They obviously want the card so just pay for it! Argh.

I put in a couple offers on cards trying to take advantage of the ebay bucks promotion that ended yesterday. Finally got an agreement like 2 hours after the promotion ended so my $55 card got me 55 cents instead of $5.50 in ebay bucks. Honestly though I was just stoked I'd sold enough so my paypal balance covered like $49.80 of it.

The not being able to leave negatives really hurt Ebay sellers.
Other way around too. They make it so difficult for buyers to leave negatives too. Taking 3-4 days to ship out is the new norm because there is just absolutely no repercussion. Even 5 years ago I remember both Ebay buyers and sellers being way more responsible

I had a issue where the buyer wants me to cancle the deal. He offered me 750$ for a card but than want to step back from this deal. But he was fair enough and sended me 25$ for a dinner.

Require immediate payments if you want to avoid this stuff!

Honestly this is the only way I sell anything now. I don't have time to play games, I just want the money. If it sits it sits. If I really want to sell i'll lower the price. I don't want to hear excuses, I don't want to answer 10 messages asking if i'll take xxx amount.

I had a guy buy and immediately pay for a $450 baseball card, he had been bugging me via messages wanting me to work out an off eBay deal but I never responded. He bought the card, paid, and then messaged me immediately that he didn't mean to. I didn't say a word, just refunded the money and blocked him and sold it a week or two later for $430.

As well as competitive rates, this is another reason I use Probstein to sell newer cards

Its just not worth the time or headaches to me

Alot of people on Ebay just play games and as a seller I would rather not deal with it

eBay is full of deadbeats but I just don't think you can get better sale prices anywhere else. I just block the nonpayers, relist, and move on; dealt with so many bums that I learned to not even sweat it, I actually EXPECT it will happen from time to time.
