Not a Cavs fan to say the least. But I do respect Levin Love. Sucks to see him missing that much of the season. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Just thought of this... who do they add to the AS game? Man.... I wish it could be someone out of the West. Bradley Beal?

Beal has to make it
He's been straight beasting this year

Beal is a fine choice, but Porter has been better than him. Porter's also played 4 more games and 100 more minutes, so not only is he better on a per minute basis, he's played more to add to more wins.
Porter again, won't make it though he should. Partly the Wizards fault, they don't push him as a future star like they do Beal. Partly the whole PPG thing. I love Beal though, so at least PLEASE do not let Melo get in over Beal.

I think both deserve it, but seeing Beal play last night, and like you said, the wizards hype him up more than they do Porter. I think Beal gets it. Porter should at least be in the 3pt contests though.

Yeah, like I said in the other threads, I truly believe Poter is better than Milsap, but I never considered it a remote possibility that he makes the team. Just not the way things work in the NBA unfortunately.
Porter will not replace Love, though he should IMO. Beal has a chance. Would be very happy to see Beal there.

Will be interesting to see if the Cavs coast while he's out... Could potentially slip to the 3-seed if Boston and Washington push hard

Besides Beal I think it should be Embiid, but since he is injured, I don't see how Beal doesn't get in.

Since it's a front court player out, shouldn't he be replaced by a front court player? The east bench is already loaded with guards. Should be Horford

So Love is going to be coming back two weeks before the playoffs start? What if his timeline is extended or if he has any setbacks?

The door is barely open but this is the most open it has been since Lebron came back. Not surprised Toronto made that move.

Cavs should trade Iman Shumpert & their 1st Round Pick to the Bulls for Taj Gibson & Jerian Grant.
Cavs could use Gibson's toughness down low and they can use a true backup PG. Half of their roster seems to be SG's.
Shumpert will take over Wade's spot next season, when Wade opts out of his contract. Plus an extra 1st rounder doesn't hurt. They could always package picks to move up in the draft. They have theirs and Sacramento's already. If they do trade Butler, to let's say Boston, they will get at least get New Jersey's pick whom Boston owns.

Shumpert sucks. Gibson is worth more than 5 Shumperts. Ridiculous.

You have to match salaries. That's why a 1st round pick is coming back to Chicago.

You don't necessarily have to match salaries - Cavs would fall under the 25% rule. Bulls fall under the 50% rule.
Shumpert for Gibson and Grant works straight up.
No clue why Chicago would do it... but it works.

Never underestimate Chicago's desire to make stupid trades. Footnote: LaMarcus Aldridge.

Haha true.
I mean it can be justified (here is where people tell me I'm biased as a Cavs fan) in that Gibson is about to turn 32 years old and he's a Free Agent. Someone will probably still overpay for him, especially with the new salary cap, so he doesn't really make sense for Chicago to bring back outside of being a hardworking veteran. Does Chicago really need him for 8 more weeks if they are going to let him walk? Which I'd be shocked if they don't. He'll still get a good FA contract.
Shumpert, while a disappointment overall since the trade, still plays legit Defense. He's only 26, so about to turn 27 based on how I said Gibson's age, but he's under contract for 2 more years. Will he be overpaid for the next 2 seasons? Perhaps... but with the crazy money people are throwing around? He might be closer to market value than people think. Doesn't make him good... just means that so many other guys are going to blow up what an average player is paid.
Again to me it doesn't make sense for Chicago... but I can see some sort of rationale.
It makes more sense to package Gibson and Rondo together if you're really just going to clean house.
I'd have to think someone else, some other contender, could offer more than Iman Shumpert though... if simply to keep Gibson off Cleveland... rent him for a year and then let him walk.

Were you at the game? I was. Beal looked like Ray Allen!
